This has been helpful, thank you! I propagated some leaflets in mini wicking beds in take-away containers. Now at a month old, they have pea-sized rhizomes and roots- similar to yours. So I know I can pot them up now but also still need to keep them moist. Any KZbin updates on these cuttings please?

Just make sure that the soil is always moist. I recommend putting a clear cup (humidity dome) on top and forget about it until every other week. Rewater when ever it dries

Hi zz plant you can propagate in both water and soil ,in water it takes longer for zz to grow roots as well as rhizomes , so i prefer soil over water .

Zz plants require good drainage soil for that you can take 60 % garden soil , 20% perlite or sand ,10% cocopeat and 10% vermicopost this is the mixture i use and it works well, and watering plays very important part only water when soil is almost dry.
