How to proper clean a dryer vent...

I’ve watched MANY dryer vent cleanings on KZbin but this one deserves the Oscar for Best Comedy 🎭! Hilarious as are some of the comments. Thanks for reminding me to wear a mask and goggles when I try this for the first time on our vent that hasn’t been cleaned in 39 years. 🌬💥

The best way I've ever cleaned or cleared dryer vents is used our leaf blower inside the house and had a bag with air holes to catch all the lint attached to the outside of the house. Fast and easy!

Where exactly did you attach the blower? Did you unclip the vent from the dryer, or were you able to somehow blow it through the inside of the dryer?

Leaf blowers are TOO powerful and if you run up against a contraction or clog, they say that you can literally blow open a seam on the vent itself. And then you are really screwed....

Shop vac inside running and an open compressed air hose from outside. Nice and clean.

But it doesn’t get the dried lint off the walls of the vent! Brush is the way to go if you want it clean. If you just want to do 100 jobs a day in 4 hours that aren’t properly done then a compressor, air line and a reverse ball is the way to go.
