Too few channels ever explain how to properly balance a camera on a tripod. Yet always show how to balance a gimbal. On a tripod, the principle is similar but only on one axis. Level the camera and the balance so it holds the position one moved to any angle. One key difference is there is no motor involved. It's purely weight distribution.

Very helpful. I have the gitzo g2180 didn’t know how to “balance” it. However I think my camera is too heavy but it feels more safe.

I watched people put 60 pound box lens camera setups and not balance the tripod. Was rather amusing watching them destroy their arms holding it in place while mine was moving with a finger. LOL

That why this video is not for those people. Beginners often blame their cheaper tripods instead of realizing that they need to first properly balance their tripods. This video shows that even expensive tripods need to be balanced
