Very cool. We have a couple of these valves installed in the Seattle area and didn't even think about a maintenance plan or kit that could be sold along side the initial installation. Looking forward to seeing this product become commercially available.

Since this guy wont reply or get the product out…… YOU can go on amazon and just buy a small dish scrubbie that is 12 inches in height, some rubber gloves and a headlamp. I just add some light dish soap to hot water (warm in a tea kettle for max heat if you want). With the gloves on you can use your hand to lift the flap up and down. A screwdriver will work to open the cap. You can use a shorter one. Left loose, right tight as always.

Where can I find this utility tool?

I have that exact model (Mainline Fullport)... I do NOT HAVE a tool to open the clean out cap! I've tried using a piece of steel flat-bar, but I cannot get any leverage as it's so far down in the plastic "well" and I can barely get both hands down in there. It is REALLY, REALLY seized on there... I mean it will not budge a millimeter. Any suggestions for what else I might try to get the cleanout cap loose??!!

How to buy this things

Dude how do you get the whole plastic cover off I removed all bolts and nothing. Some idiots installed mine poorly in sask.

I see how the tool to remove the cleanout plug would be helpful. Too bad you never got this product to market.

Looks pretty flimsy. Is there a motorized version that activates with a sensor and maybe made of stainlessteel ? Don't see this lasting.

Alot more than grease end up in the line especially with a tenant. A way to pressure wash from above would be ideal .

How are you doing with getting this system to market. I'm in Hamilton and just had a valve installed and City emailed saying to clean every 3 months, so I need one by January.
@JSLEnterprises3 жыл бұрын
you should be fine to clean it once a year, depending on where in hamilton you live in. North of the city core, then once every 6 months, stoney creek/east hamilton, dundas, most of the mountain, you should be fine with once a year.

City website says every 2-3 months but always look at it a day or two prior if heavy rain is forecast just to be sure.

How often does this need to be cleaned?
@grant75993 жыл бұрын
Mainline recommends " regular inspections " Think of it like cleaning your car. I would check it every month depending on what you are using it for. Tissue, grease, wipes that should have been put in the garbage...

City of hamilton says every 2-3 months but always worth checking if you see rain in the forecast typically more than 20mm in a day or something.

Be aware if you open it monthly it may or may not degrade the o ring for the cap. Id say every 3 months ( in between just do a visual inspection maybe bi weekly as best you can without opening the cap) or just do a visual prior to heavy rain and see if anything stands outs that may impact the flap like waste or tp as an example.
