After this, my next video is how to properly polish the bike and ceramic coat it which you should follow right after 👌

I would add two things. Cover the exhaust openings before power washing and bring the shine back to exhaust pipes with a scuff pad and some cutting compound.

Very informative video! Any concerns causing electrical short with the water?

All modern motorcycles are designed with rain and water in mind. Just don't point a 0 degree nozzle on a pressure washer at cables or electronics and use common sense and your good!

What soap did you foam the motorcycle with? The all-purpose cleaner or the wash soap?

Nice video, very informative! Is it a problem if you get water in the exhaust? Does it need to be plugged up with a rag or something?
@carswithsonduren2 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother. Welcome to the channel! No, you don’t need to cover the exhaust. Just make sure you don’t purposely point any water inside, the small amount is fine!

It's a good idea to cover it. Depending on the angle of the exhaust it can the blow dirty water once started. It's a small detail but one worth doing IMO. Everyone has their own way and this way....it's ok. Some steps I do different and add more steps. To each his own.

uhhhhh, I've had 3 of these bikes, they are such a pain in the butt to wash when you get suck in the rain, naked bikes, I was lazy and used a air compressor with air and soft brush (not the correct way i'm sure to wash it lol) ( one trick I did was get home, after you get suck in the rain, wash it off with water hose Asap and take air compressor at 90psi blow all the water dirt off it especially the engine fins all those tiny hole spots )

Hello again and Happy New Year. Your attention to detail Rocks! So, I bought everything suggested in this video to clean my new Ducati. Unfortunately, I keep it outside under a Dowco Cover. Noticed very little rust on chain ( Bike has 1,000 miles) can you please suggest your method to keep chain in tip top shape and get rid of rust. Thanks Brother.

Happy new year Noel! I would suggest kerosine to really cut through it using a brush.

Really enjoyed this video. Your attention to detail is what I was looking for as I searched though you tube. I have a new Ducati and first wash is later this week.Bought S100 yesterday; could you please advise how I could use this product within your routine? Thank you for taking the time to produce this video.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the channel I'm glad the video could help! Which product are you explicitly speaking about?
Hey Brother, disregard my request. Cleaned Ducati and not happy with product. I will follow your instructions going forward. THX!

Thanks for not blocking your plate number. Those people are the worst. As if we had the power to google plate numbers and get home addresses with them LOL
@DUCVADER Жыл бұрын
People cover plates so they are not cloned by people with similar bikes who speed and park illegally in the UK.

Really shouldn't use snow foam on an already wet vehicle, prevents the foam from working correctly. Also... Not a fan of grit guards, you are literally rubbing the mitt at the bottom of the bucket near the grit. Go for no guards and just keep your mit in the top 6 inches of the bucket, grit and stones sink to the bottom, it's basic science. Awesome video and awesome bike though dude, I'm going to be looking for an S2r 800 soon, more characterful and interesting that the new middleweight crop (MT07, Trident, CB650r etc...)
