3:40 Never ever do this on an AMT car..you are damaging the system,rather use handbreak. In most cases using AMT as trip tronic will help to gain the necessary rpm for uphill...in cource of time most AMT users will get the sync in effectively shifting right foot from break to accelerator and surely that alone will help in such situations.

Very much right. Never use both legs on brake and accelerator at any time. Secondly, applying brake and accelerator together will lead to early wearing of clutch. The creep function in AMT is normally enough to hold the vehicle for uphill starting. If at all the vehicle tends to crawl back, hand brake is the best method.

@@arjunjmenon If needs parking in slopes,kill the engine in D itself and engage the handbrake. I've heard some cars like celerio still rolls down even if the engine is killed in D,i didn't get the logic behind it though 🤷🏻‍♂️.Anyway putting enough pressure in hadbreak is always the key with AMT and for double check i suggest to kill the engine in D 'only when the situation demands',I've this question in mind for long but didn't still get an assured answer,A sales rep of NEXA once told me to trust fully in handbreak alone. It would be helpful if anyone with amt is willing to test this 'killing engine in D method' in a safe manner🙂

While driving in hilly areas or uphill using M (manual) mode will give more torque. Your suggestion to use left foot on brake and right foot on accelerator is better in manual mode.

@@jishnu4774 normally manual car's parking in steep road, it should be in first gear + hand break for getting a breaking effect from gearbox. An automatic car in neutral with hand break will give the same breaking effect???. So it's better to put in D drive mode+ hand break.
