Thank you so much for this. My tennis shoes were literally kicking the dryer door open. I had shoes that don’t have traditional strings so I used laces from my boots to hand them from and it’s working perfectly.

Jared, thanks for the video. It was very useful and I used it this week. However, I had some shoes with only velcro. I ended up wrapping the shoes in a towel. Eventually they became unwrapped but still helped dampen the motion (and sound) of the laceless shoes.

I know that was a long time ago, but you could have just got a lace and ran it through the velcro straps and hung it the same way.

Haha sorry. No this method worked perfectly. The shoes never touched the *blades* in the dryer. They just hung out in there while the hot air evaporated the moister out of them. This is how I will be drying my shoes in the future from now on.

Placing your shoes on the floor with the inside of the shoe facing the refrigerator exhaust vent will dry them overnight without wasting any more energy. The refrigerator cycles on and off anyway.
