You ate it wrong . Lemon is acidic. Never put it on all of them put it one buy one when u eat them so it doesn't mess with the taste of your oyster

Nine he agrees with putting lemon on the oyster, only right before you eat it because the acidic juice will start cooking the delicate protein if you leave it on there too long
