Is it ok to have finger or two between helmet and neck from behind? Or it has to stick to the neck?

As long as there is not a lot of movement in the helmet. Some people make have different neck/head slopes so fitment may be a little different.

Question: I have long hair. I'm 57cm and my helmet is a S (55-56cm) it's super snug, but my long hair seems to allow the helmet to move a lot when doing the side to side and up and down typical test fitting movements... what do I do? I know for a fact I could not go down a size, my head would be hurting instantly.

Hello, sorry to hear about the issue. have you tried wearing your hair in different styles or using a buff of some type to keep the hair together and help prevent movement?

@@chaparralmotorsports thanks for the reply. I've not tried using a balaclava, maybe it will help? I'm just not sure what to do, I really don't think I could comfortably wear a 53-54cm helmet when I'm 57cm and my 55-56cm helmet is super snug. when I didn't have long hair the helmet was fine and did not move, it's like the long hair gives the helmet a friction-less barrier, allowing it to move around a lot. I don't want to cut my hair off but if that's the only way to stop it moving around then I guess I'll have to :/

Lots of guys on youtube say if you are between two sizes then always choose the smaller. At the start of the video you said she was between a XS and 2XS so shouldn't she be trying on a 2XS?

@@chaparralmotorsports not sure what size helmet i should get. Im buying a troy lee se4 freedom and my head measures 23 1/2 which falls right between lg and xlg and both feel like they fit perfect but the lg is a little tight. So will the lg fit like the xlg after its broke in?

just bought shark skwal 2. perfect fit horizontally..cant move much and no finger fit at the side of my eye. but vertically seems little bit wiggle. is that perfect fit?

Hello, it's a little difficult to say. The helmet may not have the correct shape to fit your head. Some people have a round oval head, intermediate oval head, or long oval and there are specific helmets to fit those types of heads. Arai is one company that makes helmets for different head shapes.

Hi. I've got 3 helmets an arai axces 2, shoei nxr and caberg duke 2. My arai and shoei are a snug fit in xs but recently just realised there's a small gap where temples are when wearing both helmets and caberg just doesn't fit my head shape at all. Do you have any idea what head shape I could be? Thankyou.

Hello, without seeing it, it's hard to say. But possibly you have more of a long oval head? Stop by your local motorcycle shop and go over it with them.

So I'm somewhere between 56-57 but so according to the chart 56 is small and 57 is medium but then s is a smaller shell size so would it be too small or would it be nice and snug?

Hello, you wan the helmet to be snug but not uncomfortable. With wearing the helmet with break in. Going too big in size will mean a looser fitting helmet when the padding breaks in. manufacturers vary with their shell sizing. Some may offer replacement cheek pads that will help the helmet fit better or improve fitment.

Hello, it is because there is multi density EPS materials as well as other impact/safety materials companies use, an there is the padded liner in addition to cheek pads.

If you have long hair, the pony should be below the base of the helmet, not inside.

Hello, your best bet is to find a helmet that you like, then refer to that helmet manufacturer's fitment specifications to determine which of their size might fit you best.
