It isn’t OEM but it came with the hard top. You can also buy the moulding. It’s called a hardtop seal and i think it’s for sale on moss Miata or flying Miata

The roof has had no issues. I did mention that I would put caulking on the rear spoiler and since then, I have. I would highly suggest caulking all of those parts but they’re holding up great!

It was black caulking I found at Home Depot. I believe it was for roofing. So it can handle drastic weather and UV rays.

Yeah honestly I would’ve but for some reason the company I took it to, painted it black without letting me know. Kind of a bummer but it ended up being okay with the car

If you want to get technical it DOES put drag in the form of downforce. And the look of the car is just as important as anything else in my book or else I wouldn’t have painted the car :) not a waste of time in my eyes.

@@helpmeboonmee To each his own. I like the colour but I wouldn't want to add additions to the bodywork like splitters, spoilers and wings without understanding their handling implications. The MX5 is a mightily able handling car and the main reason I drive one. But everyone's needs are different. As long as you have fun and get out of the car what you want, I suppose that's all that matters..

Well, I thought you were doing it correctly, until the cut the tape. Lol. You should NOT cut the tape on the front of the spoiler. In fact, you should double down on it to reinforce it's strength. Then get rid of the tape on the rear, and use the front tape as a hinge to roll the spoiler forward. That will allow you to remove all the 3M tape covers, and then you can just roll the entire spoiler back perfectly into place, without all the anxiety of wondering if you are placing it correctly, because the tape will only allow it to go back into place perfectly. Think your projects through, and they will go better.

That roof spoiler makes the trunk spoiler defective, you're actually creating more rear end pressure drag. Lol 😂

@@JMXLloyd What? All spoilers make down force, spoiler makes downforce in two ways, It slows the airflow ahead of it, which increases the air pressure on the trunk lid. It also deflects air upward as it flows past the end of the car. Spoilers also help with rear end pressure drag, as well. In this case that roof spoiler is making the rear one defective. Lol 😂
