Interesting, because behaviourist that consulted my case said that tangled leashes are often the cause for bites, because dogs can't make a distance from each other and start to react to that situation they don't want to be in any more. She said it is much better to take off the leash, but be prepared to buckle back if you need to take your dog away.

If you plan on going off leash with your dogs when deemed okay by both parties, make sure you have good off leash control with your dogs to separate when needed!

good, I would have stopped the shepherd pup to learn some control...... love that pitty girl...... she loves him, I had a pitty girl that had so much passion that it was mistaken for aggression...... The walking together is fantastic, a safe way to see how they react to each other... I have looked for people to walk with but nobody understands the beauty of the walk together, says so much to the dog about what you want them to do...

Some dogs are more dominant on leash. I also think knowing the figs is best. And I agree, the tangled leashes is no good. The lease becomes obsolete at that point.

Shes so cute, my boy jack would love to play with her. He has a tendency to play to hard with other dogs. Been working with him on it and hes gotten to expierence being the dog thats not interested in play with a dog who has more energy than him. This is in South Carolina?!

But this requires that the other owner knows some things, what are you supposed to do in town when someone wants your dog to meet theirs and they're not really in control of their dog and they don't know any of these tips?

Also how can you circle like this on a narrow sidewalk?
@Freeyourself206 Жыл бұрын
Yea but my dog loses his mind barking as soon as another dog is close. He would never walk in a circle unless I dragged him. He would bark, lunge, and be very stressed. He does do good if I’m in a closed environment where I can drop the leash and if I just let the two dogs meet face to face he is fine. But if I have him on leash and try to avoid the face to face he has aggression towards the dog which stems from fear and anxiety
