but why was the dog chasing him? did he go on someone's property? it doesn't look like he's a delivery driver.

You have to show you working with redzone dogs before you criticize someone else working with them. None of your videos show you dealing with an aggressive dog.

This bully behaviour is exactly why I never, ever let pits/staffys near my dogs. They're always trying to instigate fights, it's what they were bred for. That poor dobie looks stressed and if she wasn't doing everything right to diffuse the situation it would lead to a fight.
@Juniorweed1Күн бұрын
so whats the pros and cons of this behaviour is it good is it bad? should we be striving for one way or the other? whats the point of the video?

yeah iv tried the leg thing a few times it don't work and if it did the dog redirected to me right away. not the leg trick, and as he said it don't work if they have latched and even if they are big enough it don't work. yeah I'm not fighting another rotty off me attempting the leg way, I'll let you do that all day if you want

16:57 what on earth is wrong with people? I would never provoke an animal like this, but then no pet I’ve ever had would react like that either. Your dog should trust you enough to let you take food from them, not see you as a threat or competition! He’s done crap like that so many times, you can tell

An amazing combination of traits in this breed. I've never seen an animal with it's running endurance, protective nature and overall drive to perform. Our dog was trained well around kids and cats, so instead he chased deer which he frequently ran down and alongside for fun. Fiercely protective, highly intelligent and amazing sense on friend or foe. Our Ridgy also learned to seek and alert for snakes before the kids went outside to play. He saved the kids from several wandering dogs that attacked and alerted countless times on strangers in the area. Fantastic breed, amazing health and recovery. Very hearty. Doesn't like rain or snow, but will do it willingly along side it's master. I miss ya Tye!!!

Best dog… can’t say enough. Saw my first one in England in 1981- being walked by a Sherlock Holmes double. What a magnificent dog I thought and quizzed him. Got first male there when I was in college for year, brought home, ended up importing total 4 males from uk( distinct larger size, head size difference. )Mated with beautiful one from NewEngland- what a great result. All akc and RKC for males. Sweethearts, lapdogs, get along with cats!!( make sure cat first then can introduce to any cat after). These xl ones not for all but not interested in showing despite perfect ridges. Just cuddling and scaring unwanted strangers just by size( didn’t tell anyone they’d just lick them to death). There is a couch and bed problem-wore two recliners out cause insisted on sitting on daddy’s lap. Life could be far worse than spooning with a ridgie.

Ive dealt with multiple dog fights unfortunately. The ONLY thing that works is the leash trick if they dont have a collar (dont know why they wouldnt but anyways) and the best best best way is to grab the collar pull up and twist. This is out of experience. Ive done the rear leg thing and all it did was give the locked on dog more aggresion and you run the risk of potentially tearing the other dog. Its especially bad if the dog is locked onto the other dogs face, head and or ears. The pulling the back legs is an old way to stop coordinated dog fights, but a lot of times in the streets, its almost always one dog being the aggresor and potentially locking on, so whoever has the lock, u grab the collar pull straight up and give a tight twist, the dog will either let go or pass out. The risk of you getting bit in a dog fight is always going to be there, depending on how bad it is, sometimes u gotta respect the risk but still get in there.

Little/Very strange but it worked! Wild but it stopped the dog an immediately! Older man with one quick poke had ended the dog fight. He just needed to wash his hands! 😅

@chasestevens3279 on a serious note, all the dog fights I've seen and had to deal with were so vicious there's no time to do that old trick. Same thing with a lighter to the nose, those type of people never seen a TRUE dog fight. Most people thing clashing jaws is fighting, it's not. I've seen a dog try to kill another dog and it didn't matter what the hell was happening to him he was determined to kill that dog. Thats the day I learned the collar trick
