strongly recomend driving the front wheels onto couple of pieces of wood. Makes it MUCH easier to jack up

I have two sets of Rhino ramps, so after jacking up the fronts (after driving onto homemade wood ramps), I slide a ramp under each wheel. Then I repeat for the back.

Sounds like I need to get the adapters, lol. "Most tedious car to jack up" .....wuuuut? Oh man, this is a dream to jack up compared to most cars. Center OFFICIAL jack points in BOTH the front and the rear? Extremely uncommon. So many cars you're left putting jack stands on the pinch welds, and they'll bend a little 7 times out of 10.

Damn dude thanks for this. I've been jacking mine up by those stupid plastic jack points even though I know I shouldn't be. Where did you get that circular pad for your jack?

Thanks man for the vid! I am trying to jack from the rear diff but the fins keep coming in contact with the arm before the pad can reach the diff. Any recommendations on how to clear the diff fins? I have the Daytona 3 ton low profile long reach jack so not sure why the arm is making contact before the pad. Appreciate the help 🤙
@HaiTran2 жыл бұрын
Man you must be SLAMMED because that’s still a lot of clearance with a normal lowered setup. I would just drive up on a couple 2x4s. Get you almost 2 extra inches. If that’s still not enough then just figure something thicker to drive up on.
@davepaturno42902 ай бұрын
I place a wood block in the floor Jack's cradle to make sure that the diff fins are not contacted. Be carefully and take your time.

Great video Hai. Any of these jack stand adapters for a toyota/lexus do you know?
@HaiTran2 жыл бұрын
Not that I know of. All the Toyotas I own/owned just have/had reinforced jack locations and no specific adapters needed.

Hi there, had a quick question , will you be able to tell me what is the exact jack do you use (brand) and what stands do you use as well ?

Stands: amzn.to/36LrDVF The jack is some Harbor Freight one I bought years ago.

I’m assuming the car is in park? Is the e-brake on or off?
@HaiTran4 жыл бұрын
Yes, if the car is not in park, it would likely be rolling off before you had a chance to jack it up. As for the e-brake, people typically recommend to have it activated.

Can the supra be jacked on the side of the vehicle using a scissor jack for example?
@HaiTran4 жыл бұрын
In theory, it should be able to. You’d still jack from the same side points but unless you have the appropriate adapter, you’d risk damaging those plastic posts.
@bobbybooshay58544 жыл бұрын
@@HaiTran thanks for the reply! Will have to ask Toyota if they stock them. Unless it's the same adapters used for a z4 or another bmw?
@HaiTran4 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, most/all BMWs use the same adapter. If you already have some, just stick them in the post under the car and see if it's the correct one.

But what if the car is lowered with a front lip installed and you cant fit the entire jack under the car😑
