I store food in my storage unit. You can do it in bulk if you use sealed mylar bags and throw the bags into a sealed bucket like a Home Depot bucket with a lid. No issues with pests because they can't smell or detect the food

I want to start doing that to start prepping. I’m a single mom and really need to think about these things

@@K3VG979 absolutely anything. Like when the pandemic happened, I knew people who never had to go to the store for toiletries because they were stocked up on things…. I even was hurt badly after a car accident and couldn’t really get to the store. Prepping can have you prepared for the unforeseen

Sealed mylar bags and buckets are great for protection, but be cautious-rodents can chew through even sturdy materials if they’re determined. Regular checks can help avoid surprises!

Thank you for that tip..that was totally the route ide been leaning towards but was still researching ideas and wasn't sure. The emergency stock pile is taking over my bedroom lol and time to get more serious about where it's being stored at long term. The mylar bags I have always known are great for food storage as well as the buckets with lids. Main thing I'm still unsure about is should I be taking the foods out of the original packaging and resealing into the mylar bags? Or. Just shove the packages into the mylar bags then buckets

Be carefully of vacuum sealed bags. I, once, put clothes in the big name one and went in my closet a few months later to find my clothes pouring out of the back end.

Anyone have advice for storing fabric and quilts in temp controlled storage unit?
@RovePestControl16 күн бұрын
Make sure to use airtight plastic bins and add cedar blocks or lavender sachets for natural pest repellents. Avoid cardboard boxes, as pests can chew through them. And always clean fabrics thoroughly before storing to avoid attracting bugs!

Sadly you didn't explain "How to properly store things..." (so your title is just click bait) there is some "food for thought" information (like clean items before putting them in storage and bait can actually attract pests) those are some facts to consider, but not examples of "how to properly..." Off to see if if there are more specific videos around ***sigh***

Can I store clothes in suitcases. If so what type?
@RovePestControl Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can store clothes in suitcases. Use hard-sided or tightly sealed, pest-resistant suitcases for added protection.
