Great video. I also just bought my 1st 24v trolling motor and you made the job so much easier. Thx. One question though, how do I hook up my 12v accessories? That's probably a dumb question
@TheWeekendAngler2 жыл бұрын
Hook up your 12v accessories like normal... Use the positive and negative post of only one battery. I'm glad this video helped you out. Thank you for watching!
@markjennings95272 жыл бұрын
It helped considerably. I tournament fish and have my first of the year in 2 weeks and just picked up a used bass boat and today put the new trolling motor on. I'm actually going to subscribe to your channel right now. Thx again
@markjennings95272 жыл бұрын
One more question. My boat has an on board charger, now that I have 2 batteries wired for 24 volts, do I unhook the jumper wire before I charge a battery or leave it hooked up?
@TheWeekendAngler2 жыл бұрын
@@markjennings9527 You can charge both batteries separately at 12v each with the jumper wire in place. I have a 4 bank onboard charger that's connected to all my batteries. I do not have to remove the 2 jumpers on my 36v bank to charge.

Hi, Thank you sharing the video. This is really helpful for us. Can you explain more the high lighted point. For longer battery life Series or parallel connection is fine. If it is series then why or where we can use the parallel connection or vice versa.
@TheWeekendAngler2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Some devices require a higher voltage to operate. For instance, the trolling motor on my boat is a 36v model. This requires me to run 3 batteries in series. Parallel wiring is good for 12v devices that need additional run time. Hope this helps.

Great tips, ty. I have a 12V system where I have battery in back of boat and a battery in front of boat and I have a wire from both negative and positive going to to front. Is that still 12v system, how ever I want to put a 2nd battery up front and connect to the one that is already there. What is your suggestion how to connect each battery? And will it give longer run time?
