Li Time had a Great Build, another KZbinr literally cut 5 different lithium batteries open, and he knew his stuff about electronics', Li Time had the best build, couple others where ok, and a couple just cheap and junk when it came to the inside build of the batteries.. Between your video and his , I'm getting the Li Time 100 ah and maybe 20 amp charger since it's only 15 dollars more then the 10 amp , Thank Again for you Video

(My Interstate LEAD Battery ) I was using my 30 lb thrust trolling motor , 12 foot canoe , and when i pressed the button to check my batter level on the trolling motor , it showed 3 bar's out of 4 when not using the motor and 1 bar lit when trolling motor was on , no matter what setting 1-5 speed , hope this helps you and others

Thanks for the info will consider obtaining one of these batteries. Any concern over fire hazard potential when charging these batteries like some Li-On batteries in laptops, scooters and EV's ? I have friends in RC airplanes that have seen fires when charging the small LI-ON batteries they use in their RC planes. They charge these batteries outside in a metal container. Fire problems predominately with Chinese made batteries.
@absoluteunitmedia6 ай бұрын
They’ve had to adapt Lithium batteries for use on the water since lithium reacts explosively with water…but I’m pretty certain the technology is there now. I’ve seen no reports of any issues with the LiTime batteries. They seem legit. Cant speak for other Chinese companies though…
@ensom4 ай бұрын
LiTime uses LifePo4, aka lithium iron phosphate chemistry, which is different from lithium polymer. it's far more stable, much safer, it does not present a fire hazard like some other lithium chemistries. you can research LifePo4 yourself, it's properties are quite interesting.

I’ve binged your videos the last few days and I’ve noticed you primarily use the deep rapalas shadow rap, husky jerky, and rip stop. Is there any reason why you’d use one over the others? I’m looking at getting a few pretty soon to fish the rivers too.
@absoluteunitmedia6 ай бұрын
Water depth mainly. Very shallow cold water situation I go for the shadow rap shad(2 hook version) because it’s a slow rise bait, almost Topwater. Deep versions for deeper water

I strongly doubt that. I’ve used it a lot with no issues and there’s also many more in depth reviews out there. For reference I have an older trolling motor too. Minn kota power drive v2….

I had a similar experience, burnt up my powerdrive 55 control board plus damaged my i-pilot. Talked to a authorized minnkota repair shop, told me now a good idea to use lower end lithium battery's with brushed motors.
@eljeffe593823 күн бұрын
I think brushed motors are recommended to only run no more than 85% on these batteries. Believe I saw that on Minn Kota web site

I am told that a lithium ion charger is different from a LiFePo4 charger because it is a different technology. Can a regular lithium ion charger charge a lithium iron phosphate battery? I am getting conflicting opinions.
@absoluteunitmedia20 күн бұрын
To my knowledge, lithium marine batteries, including this one, are almost always lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) for safety reasons. People will say “Lithium trolling motor Battery” for short but it is in fact LiFePO4. So the charger from Li Time that I mention is designed for LiFePO4. The same goes for Chargers from other Li marine battery companies.

Is this battery the equivalent to a group 31?
@absoluteunitmedia5 ай бұрын
In terms of amp hours yes (group 31 deep cycle has like 105 Ah), but like I said in the video you run these much longer than that since you can run them all the way down to 0% charge
@winstonrocco19814 ай бұрын
My only issue is what if your on a multi day trip and one battery dies trip is over. Were as lead acid or agm for that matter are readily available. Was watching pro fishermen talk about buying three 36 volt lithium batteries and rigging them up in parallel so if one died he has two more. I ain’t spending that much.
@absoluteunitmedia4 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean…I replaced one lead acid with one lithium. The hookup isn’t any different on the boat side of things so if I needed to I could switch back anytime
@winstonrocco19814 ай бұрын
@@absoluteunitmedia I know that I’m just saying if you are running a 24 or 36 volt trolling motor if one battery dies getting a replacement in a hurry ain’t happening
@DrJeffM2 ай бұрын
i am considering buying this brand for a trolling motor that I just purchased that requires 36v. I have read from some reviewers that these batteries come "Locked" and if you have to jump them to unlock or they will not take a full charge. Have you experienced that?
@absoluteunitmedia2 ай бұрын
No I haven’t . I just hooked mine up and charged it right away. Unless there’s something different about 36V (I have 12v). I think they ship at some intermediate level, like 60%. Keep in mind you have to use a lithium charger…and also they have low temp protection, so they won’t charge if it’s too cold because doing so can damage lithiums.

Hey, saw your video. And was shocked at the prices and I can order them where I live. This changes everything for me. I am gonna buy the 100ah. Do you use it in a box? With an Anderson connector for attaching a trolling motor? Which one? Thanks for the video, it opened up my eyes. 🍺
@absoluteunitmedia3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I use the same box that my old led acid was in, 31 series. It’s oversized for the lithium but it has a strap so it’s secure. The terminals on the Lithium battery are bolts and the trolling motor connections on my boat were already setup for that.

Awesome! Question: Do you charge it after every outing to 100% or like cars only to 80% or so? Thanks
@absoluteunitmedia6 ай бұрын
If it’s a full day then yes. But if I do a couple half day trips I’ll leave it. The issue is there’s no way for me to tell how charged it is other than experience so I tend to just charge it if I have time
