Low lows and more: Good video!! I'm having an issue with my lowrider. It goes up on the right rear corner but won't come back down. I do have a burned out switch that controls the right rear corner along with its own pump. I also bought a magnetic dump solenoid, and it burned out too. It gets hot as soon as you hook the magnetic solenoid up. Do you know what that might be? I have videos of my S10 on my channel so you can see my setup if you need to.
@giovannogalindo87854 жыл бұрын
Hey bro I had a similar issue on the front where the driver side wouldn't come down and it turned out to be one of the dump wires came loose from a but connector so for peace of mind I replaced all them with the heatshrinkable ones hope this helps
@MisterLowrider4 жыл бұрын
@@giovannogalindo8785 oh ok cool. Imma try that. I got 4 pumps so each one has its own, so I'll check the wiring. Thanks man!
@mikesnipes3164 жыл бұрын
You can disconnect the dump wire and touch it to 24v to see if the dump will drop. If it does, it's most likely a bad switch. If it doesn't drop, it could be a bad dump coil. Had same issue and replace dump coil.

I had a monte Carlo with 2 pumps for 10 years with the same motors, never had to change them. Your just creating more heat in them with what your doing bro.

U clearly never hit the switch then lmfao

We coat the bottom of the brush plate to make it thicker but never put jb on the armature or the case. I would have to say that it most likely gets hot at least on a high voltage hopper. Maybe this is ok on a street car idk
@willieurus2 жыл бұрын
@@trustnobody1281 I agree on the brush assembly yes but not on anything else but to each his own they will learn

Can lock tight tape be used for the rods that hold the motor?
@lowlowsandmore3 жыл бұрын
You can if you can get it on, using shrink tubing is easier.

Hey man what is a good gauge wire for battery connecting?
@lowlowsandmore4 жыл бұрын
Use zero gauge, most common one is 1/0 gauge

Do you have a video on how to break in the motor
@lowlowsandmore3 жыл бұрын
To break in a new motor before installing it, hook it up to a battery for 12v(some people use 2 batts to break them in) by using jumper cables and let it spin for 30 seconds to 1 min straight and it's ready to install onto the pump.
