One suggestion I have for all you single ladies or married ladies who must work full-time. 👉See if there are opportunities in your company to transfer to a role or department that utilizes more feminine traits. When I was working full-time I moved into an HR role, I did a lot of staff training. It allowed me to improve my listening skills, teaching skills, dealing with employees with physical and mental health absences...just areas where I could use my more nurturing side. I also highly recommend volunteering at church in childcare.♥️🇨🇦

You absolutely shine as a mother and radiate so much joy and contentment. Such a contrast to what is seen so often of workaholic mothers schlepping their kids back and forth and all over while looking so discontent and miserable. Thank you for being the feminine influence needed today.

Love this. I really appreciate your wisdom and humility. This may sound selfish to some but I find self care is absolutely key to protecting my femininity. Eating well, sleeping enough, drinking enough water, meditating, stimulating my brain and taking the time to put on something that I feel good in and doing a quick makeup routine - all helps me to be at my best. When I neglect my self care it’s really easy to lose my sense of humour and get frazzled. For a long time I thought it was selfish to take good care of myself but now I know that I can’t be my best for my family without it.

This might sound kind of weird: I started veiling outside of Mass as a personal devotion. I’ve been doing it since last year using bandanas but I felt drawn to using a scarf to cover more; I started wearing the hijab (headscarf) about three months ago and it’s actually made me feel so much more feminine and much more confident as a woman. I feel like I shine and has made me love being a woman so much more. I’ve gotten comments on how pretty I look covered up. It’s been a fun journey 🌸
@etherealrosegold2 жыл бұрын
I already wear the hijab all thanks to The Most Merciful and His guidance, The Qur'an.And now I'm looking forward to covering the face with a veil... the next step. There's always room for improvement, we're not perfect however we're always rewarded by doing good. Let's be our best selves♡

Same!! I’m in a very liberal Christian household that forbids wearing veils (even to church) and I’ve been wondering if I should start veiling. This is my rebellious teen arc 💀💀 but jokes aside, I’ve recently started wearing lace or big flowy bandanas every time I leave the house and tbh it feels great!! Covering up is a beautiful thing that ADDS- not retracts- from your natural God-given beauty. and I think it’s time we as ladies realize that :)

Yes I've been struggling some more recently with over indulging on IG and even getting headaches from constantly clicking on it whenever I pick up my phone. My husband and I aren't able to conceive children🙏🏼, and now we're actually living with my Grandparents for a time. (Their so gracious for allowing us). So I'm having a little trouble with figuring out how to flourish in my femininity and vocation as wife with this new dynamic. Thank you Cynthia for these videos of yours, they always bring extra joy to my day, and give me that sense of community; especially in the midst of so much craziness in society. 🙏🏼

Yes, social media is complex as jealous women and trolls co-exist. Thank goodness for the option to block trolls. I limit the amount of social media in which I utilize. I primarily use my phone for GPS, calling, and texting my partner. And I use my MacBook for Facebooking to maintain updates w/ fellow homemakers. Thankfully, I'm able to interact w/ like-minded traditional women. Thank you so much for updating us! ☺️ We love you!

Oh my goodness, I can very much empathize with this. I love your vulnerability and honesty when you opened the video. Thank you. When you mentioned the news I couldn't agree more. I'm a mom of 3 and realized quickly and early on that any time that news leaked into my life I would get so stressed that I would be having a hard time around the children. I wanted very deeply to only be myself around them, and not let the news influence my life with them. So I have assessed and found that I deeply trust my husband and his assessment, research, and judgement of what's going on. I've watched him closely over our whole marriage and I deeply trust his judgement, his research, and therefore what he finds important/unimportant. I've found, for the most part, I trust him deeply in it. So kind of how men used protect women from the physical dangers before, I ask him to protect me from the outside dangers. If I get a note of news I ask him about it. He's a lot less emotional about it so I really appreciate his view, especially since I've already vetted it. It has helped so much with my stress and allowed me the freedom to live in the joy of being with my lovely children and focusing on being a beam of light in their life (which we all need) rather than a ball of stress. I know it's a very unpopular stance to take these days, but: 1. I trust my judgement in my husband very much. 2. Therefore, I trust my husband. 3. My children are my top priority and anything that gets in the way of that I wish to minimize. (BTW, I love the chaos in the background. It's so much like life. And you carrying the baby later is just so absolutely endearing and connecting for me. Congrats again on the lovely baby, it's a great life. :))

Thank you for this reminder. I run a mid to top tier Tik Tok that’s become hectic. What I find the most bothersome is the profanity or words that will eventually get my channel black listed if allowed to remain in the comment section. (Keeping it family friendly) OMGosh the trolls from dissenters is frustrating. Not because I want to change their mind, but their ignorance and deliberate rewriting of current events is alarming. Not only the time it takes frustrates me, but my language internally & externally has become more profane. Moving closer to seventy than sixty I continue to keep myself open to either a course correction or adjustments to routine and necessary procedures. Listening to your quiet but firm insistence that femininity is to be cherished and guarded helped me remain focused on what counts. Again, thank you for covering this important topic. All the best lovely lady.

Hey Cynthia! It’s been ages since I watched your channel! I hope 2022 has been going well for you though I saw on Insta that you lost your mum. So sorry for your loss. I started work at the end of last year after lockdown as a freelance writer, it’s only several hours of work per week but it’s the best thing ever for me getting some income after ten years of being a stay home mum. So now I’m a work from home mum while my kids are at school but I’m also a volunteer at my kids school as a librarian and even do some writing for the school now! I love it so much that as an introvert I still could find small pockets in the catholic school community to find some friends and be useful. I’m so glad my family had the resources for me to take such a huge break from work but the kids are both in grade school now, it was definitely the right time for me to semi go back to my career. And it’s great that it’s work from home and fits around my kids school times. Super blessed!

I completely agree with you about cursing Cynthia. I didn't grow up cursing at all, but it's so common in our culture and with friends of mine, sometimes I pick up the habit unfortunately. You inspire me to be better! I completely agree with you about exercise too. I find if I try to jog, my energy is low afterwards, and I dread working out. However, I adore walking. I look forward to it, and I've noticed results with the way I look because I will actually keep up with a walking routine. I think social media can be great if used wisely, but I don't use it for a number of reasons. I mostly just like KZbin and podcasts. Speaking of which, I know you are so busy, but would you ever add resources under KZbin channels on your blog? I plan to read all the books you listed, and I've enjoyed all the podcasts you recommended too! I know you've always been supportive of all the femininity KZbinrs and are the type to see the good in everyone, but I'm curious which your favorites are. :)

So nice to see a video from you! Something that I have started doing recently is not getting on Social media until after 10a, my mornings are so much more productive! Also, after listening to The Modern Lady podcasts episode on The Imaginative life, I starting reading before bed again instead of scrolling my phone. I've read such great interesting books and the things that I have learned have impacted my daily lifestyle (taking more/longer walks, getting more involved in my local community, going to mom groups, etc). Making these changes helped me realized I wasn't using my time wisely before because now I have more time for what's important to me and I'm happier because of it.

Great point about KZbin being more of a search engine! I never thought about it that way before, or about using Instagram like that. I also fantasize about deleting or greatly minimizing my social media because I find it overwhelming too. I kind of miss the days when we didn't know held xyz opinion that they are unwilling to compromise on in any respect. I feel like this will be an unpopular opinion among today's youth, but I feel like our relationships were better when we avoided religion and politics. 😅 I also feel that I need to work on my profanity.

It was common courtesy to keep politics, religion, and crude discussion out of friendships and professional spaces (especially around children). As the culture began embracing "authenticity" a brash tone has gradually spread. I would love for our culture to bring back some of those old manners.

Some people would comment on my facebook posts or youtube videos and start an argument with me when I didn't even care to argue. It's like there are people who just use the internet to debate people. I make an effort to be cordial and speak thoughtfully all the time - I wasn't aware that doing so was a feminine characteristic. I think of it as being a gentleman and I do so because discussions are much more productive without misunderstandings and forceful tones.
@CynthiaL2 жыл бұрын
Being polite and cordial is fine for both men and women, the point I was alluding to is that for women it helps tap into feminine charm and softness if we focus on that. I think that men can get away with being more direct, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t also speak thoughtfully if they think it’s an area where they need to focus
@WhiteCapability2 жыл бұрын
@@CynthiaL That's cool - for me it's just a logical approach that helps perpetuate good relations. I would bet that many of the defined feminine/masculine characteristics are beneficial for both men and women. I know that I prefer that women be more direct, rather than tiptoe around things that are important to them. There's certainly a difference between being direct and being an ignorant and presumptuous jerk, though - whether coming from a man or a woman.

Can someone explain why less strenuous exercise is important for femininity
@CynthiaL2 жыл бұрын
Many reasons I will talk about in the future, but it doesn’t spike cortisol therefore better helping to maintain hormonal balance, it can also give you “long and lean” muscles if you want a more delicate look, fluid movements help with sensuality, and other things. This doesn’t mean you should never do intense exercise (I like more strenuous workouts every once and a while and some women thrive doing them - I would never say that you MUST absolutely exercise a specific way to be feminine), this is just a suggestion that might help some people if they find what they are doing currently isn’t working for them

I like abit of this but not all. Wonder woman is the ultimate feminine woman, owns her beauty, sexuality, intuition, leadership abilities, shes strong, capable, fearless, Works out, strength etc. Kim Kardashian is a feminine woman who clearly does heavy weight training and also light training, takes care of herself, dresses well, isnt always in the kitchen, works etc. Im not saying shes that inspirational but she comes across as feminine. The most inspirational feminine women of all time are women who can do it all- business, raise kids, charity and humanitarian activities, own their femininity, sexuality, take care of themselves, lead the masses/ others, be kind, compassionate, loving, respectful, strong and tough (warrior/ true goddess spirit). Basically the Divine Feminine. They lead and work with femininity. It may be tough at first if youre used to operating from the masculine but the more you embrace your femininity in work, working with less stress etc, the more natural it should become.

Islam agrees + encourage a lot of what u says sis , regardless of some minor things u have mentioned, 1, being housewife is Not strict but **preferable** in islam. 2, not cursing/using vulgarity, Allah Almighty says in the Noble Quran: “O you, who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them, nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one’s] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.” (Quran, 49:11). May Allah bless u and guide u to the true path , Ameen
