Deanna, thanks for your video here❤. I recently protected my Filofax rings with some leather protector I had at home. It was a little bit bit parched when I got it. It looks more supple and nourished now. But I do have a question. I recently purchased a beautiful leather purse/backpack from a specialty shop. I love it, and I did use Scotchgard on it to protect it. I’ve done that with an Erin Condren canvas tote, and I’ve had good luck with that. But my question is… Do you use anything to clean your purses before you put the protectant on them? My bag looks like it probably needs to be cleaned a little bit.

Great to know thank you! And yes, I always wipe down the canvas (not leather) with Water Wipes then a paper towel. For the leather, I will just wipe with a dust-free cloth that isn't dyed - like a linen towel - just to make sure there isn't any dust I'm not seeing.
