Thank you for the step by step tips planting to pruning the tree. I am going to follow your tips with my seeds gotten since February this year. I honestly hope it will come out well. With love from EDO STATE, Nigeria

Our trees was very old since 2008 so the roots was stuck on the pots if the weather very bad with winds always falling down even load water

I had the same problem with my old citrus tree, but the roots were not stuck in the pot. Still, removing the tree from the pot was not easy. I made a video on that.

I've never seen root pruning done this way using a hose. But it teally makes plenty sense😊

It's like with an hairdresser. Most use hair clippers, but the best cut I had was from an old Italian guy with scissors.

How is you soil preparing?? Compost.. what else ?? Your tree is grafted??
@cooltherapy3 ай бұрын
Not it is not grafted. It was air-layered.

@@cooltherapy did you get fruits already ? how long did it take you?

@@cooltherapyhow old is this tree ??
@cooltherapy3 ай бұрын
@@bryanmilanovich2585 It already flowered, so it was most probably air layered from a branch of a mature tree.
@pn39402 ай бұрын
you have a long trunk tree. I think if you remove a third of its height, it will give more branches in the lower section. I keep all my fruit trees in pots low for easy maintenance.
@cooltherapy2 ай бұрын
@pn3940 It was on my mind. But cutting a trunk this size is a bit risky I think...

Rock dust, sandy garden soil with a little bit of clay and compost.

So we should prune in June?
@cooltherapy3 ай бұрын
If your tree exhibits the same growth pattern than mine, then sure, give it a try next June when the tree starts to cycle its leaves.

Will it work with sweatsop too?
@cooltherapy4 ай бұрын
It depends on your tree, but most probably yes. Annnonas have fibrous root systems.

Has it fruited for you yet ?
@cooltherapy4 ай бұрын
Not yet. It produced 1 flower last winter, but the flower died before maturing.

You barely can see the ant eggs, what you removed were the ant pupae.
@cooltherapy2 ай бұрын
Yes. I could be wrong, but I believe the ants establish their colonies on the periphery of the pot.

You need a bigger pot mate
@cooltherapy5 ай бұрын
I'll keep it in this one until I can no longer manage it with annual root pruning.
