Anyone can use this simple method to increase their basil harvest with no additional work or space in the garden. When I found out this trick that the pros use to grow huge basil plants I immediately started applying it and it made all the difference. Backyard gardening can be both productive and fun when we equip ourselves with the necessary skills and information.

Just as an FYI you can throw that basil pesto into the freezer once made and break off pieces as you need it. Also, you can throw dill right into the freezer in a bag and snip off frozen bits as you need it. I do this all the time! Many herbs need no additional treatment.

I’ve really been getting into basil and oregano this year, mostly for their antiviral properties, but I add it to almost everything I cook, especially chicken dishes... mmm, so good! Parsley is another one I love and is my secret ingredient for fantastic potato salad, shhh, don’t tell anyone lol. Parsley is a natural chelator for removing heavy metals, cilantro too. Luv me some Tuck 🥒💕

My Tomatoes got sick and had to forfit them :( My 3 plants round zuchini died but got 10 nice ones off of them. Beans and Jalapenos grew like crazy :) Peppers not 1 on 4 plants, my Basil was awesome, I keept them small cause we use alot. Cucumbers just a few which made me sad. But I will do it all again next year. Keep on rolling!

Thanks my basil has pretty much been slug or snail food this year. It didn't really stand a chance. I'm going to build some of those pallet raised beds you did though for next year instead of growing in the ground so its easier on my back so hopefully they'll be a little safer from the slugs and snails. Tuck is so funny no sooner you put your bit of pepper down he came and nicked it 😂 we've had quite a cold wet August and beginning of September in the uk so some of my plants are struggling a bit.

I plant Basil every year among the tomato plants, and it grows huge. I have to keep cutting it back all summer long to keep it from going to seed. The tomatoes and basil make great Bruschetta which can be frozen for later use during the winter.
