It may be an extra cost but we do a lot of tile so I like to use a siliconized grout around the toilet to match the existing grout. Doesn’t yellow and looks cleaner.

For me I've heard conflicting things about caulking around toilets, don't caulk around the back of it (which I agree with) and don't caulk on wood/laminate flooring (curious what your thoughts are)

You should make video on how to measure cooper pipes to go where you need it to. Like pro tips on how to measure the length of cooper that is needed. To consider the coupling measurement, etc. There is no video on it

I need some help with old foage it was rusted out where the screws was and instead of replacing the screw i took out the hemp on old lead flange and the adapter i bought doesn't sink all the way into the old pipe ...in stunped

The only reason I don't silicone residential toilets down is it has the potential to create enormous problems with flooring later when the toilet needs to be pulled in the future. I love how it looks but have been bitten in the ass when pulling a toilet that was silicone sealed and the flooring comes up with it.

I cut around the bottom of the toilet with a razor knife if it’s been caulked and so far no problems I’ve had a couple give me a fit because it wasn’t caulked but grouted down and the grout was so hard I had to use a hammer and chisel 😮

Yeah I caulk my toilets. I'll usually do the fuck test first (sit on it and rock to make sure it doesnt need a shim prior to caulking)

I’ve seen wax rings leaking with/without horns it honestly does not even make a difference. It all comes down to preference
