Argh... you didn't have a regular non split ring escutcheon??? When I saw you do the stop before the escutcheon it hit a nerve.. No forgiveness for the spit ringer... 😂

So they are ticking time bombs. In 50 years (if you can believe the manufacturer) there are going to be billions of water leaks.

Is sweat soldering no longer used? I only use it because it's the only technique I'm comfortable doing.

Dude, you have the most clever waste arm to allow water to flow while snaking the line, but a Neanderthal bucket cut up. Just go buy a cheap plastic oil pan from autozone or Walmart for 3 bucks. 😂

Would a single shelf with the packout lock ins be strong enough that they don’t break with all the weight of what’s in the drawers around a turn.

as a german plumber i really love the automatic pipe cutting tool. which i had one of those. to the "cant repair nothing boy"; yeah, show me where i can get a quality replacement that doesnt leak from the beginning or breaks within 2years. you cant get good stuff anymore. especially repair parts are shit and often more broken than the part youre trying to replace. the only thing i dont like about pressfit parts is the economy behind them; instead of medium skill labour that takes time and cant be rushed you now put these parts together with basically no skill and it also is much faster; but its not cheaper for the customer. where does the money go? not to the plumber, but to the company producing the stuff. its the entire "rich getting richer" kinda stuff while you as the plumber need to worry about being replaced by a trained monkey so to speak. but yeah, theyre quicker and easier to install, which is required in this highly competetive field. especially because solder fittings have also gone more expensive as theyre now fairly rarely in use.

I would take and run a drain hose from that pan to the sump or slop sink in the basement. That way, if there was ever a leak and you were away for a few days the water would just drain off or get pumped out. No water damage, only a slightly higher water bill.
