Watch Randy demonstrate how I created a night scene of stars on a ceiling. I give you the colors you need to use, from blue to white, to a metallic paint. I also show you the texture spray that I use to create a thousand stars within minutes.
tip: you can add glow in the dark stars by dipping some push pins or thumb tacks into glow in the dark paint, let it dry, and then push them into the ceiling.

Unlike ordinary latex paint coloring tints, FauxCreme Color™ can be used on its own as artist paint. Dries to a hard, durable finish.

You, Sir, are an ARTIST! I SO wish I could see it in person, from the close-ups you did, the detail was incredible, just pure beauty. I know it can be hard to capture on film. Just GORGEOUS! Thanks for posting this. Be well. Peace.

He's using Homax Wall Texture in "orange peel" for the stars (Home Depot, Amazon, etc.). Judging by the can in his "A Thousand Stars in Seconds" video, he uses the oil-based, but water-based is also available. Be sure to cover everything below with a sheet of plastic (wear a hat!) and spray in quick bursts. Hold can further away for more of an individual stars effect; closer for more of a "nebula" effect. (Do some test sprays on cardboard held over your head first to get a feel for it.)

So you did two coats, then sponged on the Venitian blue, then the Flash Blue. Once that drys THEN you put the White? It's a bit confusing. You said nothing about white paint when you were introducing the Dark Blue, Metallic Paint and Flash blue. Can you be a bit more specific? Thank you

Yes, paint 2 coats of blue. Let it dry for an hour. Then roll the same color of blue, one more time. Work fast adding the black. Your working with wet on wet paint. You can use a water sprayer to slow down the drying time. Let the paint dry then spray the texturing or the stars on. Let me know how it goes. Take videos or pictures. Have fun.
