Thanks for this. Your clear and friendly approach was really great. As others have flagged, driving experience definitely doesn’t equate to car care experience and bridging the gap is a real confidence booster! If you were to update this video, I would have found a few additions useful (1)a close up when you actually connect the pump as I couldn’t see how it looks when connected; (2)a very brief but pointed explanation of WHY it matters (you say it’s particularly important when it’s going to rain but why is that? Those of us not checking our tyre pressure probably don’t know why it matters); (3)as someone else already suggested, how to interpret your car’s chart and personal car load (with a close up of a chart). I’ll go see if I can do this now ...

This is good except I'm in my late 60's and can't squat due to bone spurs in my knees. Gee I miss the old days when you drove into a petrol station and someone put in your petrol, checked your tyres, oil and gave your windscreen a wipe and you didn't even have to get out of the car 😁

Good video. These machines are often faulty though - often doesn't take payment properly; or the hose doesn't connect properly to the valve meaning the air leaks as you try to inflate - this can often mean standing at awkward angles pushing it on with your hands to get enough air in!

Yes! Totally agree 👍

Do you press the lever once to click it into the tyre and then once again to take off or do you keeo jolding down the lever while its filling itnio cos ive seen videos of people do both and no one explains what youre supposed to do with that

One of the most frequently broken items, in a gas station, is the air pressure delivery devices. Either the hose is damaged or the pump is broken. Be prepared to find air at some other source in case your local gas station has a broken air delivery system.

Pretty good video for using the digital pump at the gas station! 2 things i would like to suggest to make the video better for the inexperienced. 1, How to read the placard 2. Choosing High load pressure and normal pressure also, FYI, the volume difference is too great in the video. Sometimes you are breaking our eardrums, sometimes we need to turn up the volume. Thanks!

All those space saver spare tires (doughnuts) call for 60 psi, not 33 like you put in it. The remaining normal size tires should take the 33 psi of air pressure. It is a good idea to check the pressure of the tire in the boot for proper pressure, normally 60 psi. Otherwise, what good is a spare tire with no air in it?

It's confusing. Is the machine going to read the current tyre pressure or it's going to fill the tyre to the pressure set on the machine?

It fills that pressure and when it actually reaches that pressure it beeps to indicate that you can remove the hose.

EqwanoX Aussies and the Brits use new English for tyre so as to avoid a double up with the word tire (to get tired of something. When the English colonized the States in the 17th Century many words were shortened or changed so they were easier to understand and learn.

This is the third video I have watched with incredibly bad advice. You DO NOT Inflate your tires to the maximum pressure listed on the side wall... you go with the recommended pressure by the manufacturer of the vehicle for the given tire size. It should be listed in the manual or on the door sticker.
@marbleshark610 жыл бұрын
Just some advice for all you women in the meantime - the minimum tyre pressure on a typical car will be 70-80 PSI, so please set the machine to this before starting. Any lower than this and you will risk serious damage to your tyres to under-inflation or even accidents. Remember, drive safe!
