How to put hay net on a round bale

watch that excess string. My horse worked a string out from a bale just like that one (not the same brand but same model) and was strangled to death. Don't leave loose LOOPS!

looking for a better way too keep less waste and no molding in the round bale . thi solves one problem but not the molding problem. we dont have a tractor either...but thnx for the demo.

@@arantxasanchez7341 (Raptors..ospreys,eagles etc..pull it off and carry it and other types of netting back to their nests..it gets dropped and babies get caught in it..ditto when it gets into the ocean. I have rescued baby ospreys caught in this..and transported them to a bird rescue...to no avail..as thew grew ..it cut deep into their little bodies..the pain must have been excruciating....the following year..the mom was caught by her foot into another piece brought to the nest..damaged her foot (her talon) very badly. There has to be a better way to bale it..or a more eco friendly material.

@@beachbumnov1953 You obviously don't know what the item is you are looking at, the net WRAP on the bale can be hazardous, the bale net is not, and stays attached to the round bale.

Completely wrong! Wile the bail is lifted with tractor put the net straight over it very easy. Then sit the bail on flat end with the net open at top, reach in and cut the bail net off and pull it off around bail from top. This eliminates all wastage as when you cut netting off before you put other net on it crumbles everywhere and creates wastage. Then simply pull drawstrings tight tie off and flip it over so draw strings are at bottom so stock can’t get to it. 2 minute job with a tractor, also put a hay ring around it for cows!
