My friend's horse has an *extremely* thick and luscious long tail naturally, so every time we go to shows everyone asks where she got her fake tail from XD

How secure are they? I don't do horse shows, I'm on a drill team and wanted to know how well they stay in when running?
@lolamarzec96308 жыл бұрын
Lauren Feller the discipline you would use a tail exstension in would not consist of "running" it would be a hand gallop canter or lope walk and trot. They are mainly used for performance.

Your horse is so pretty. I'm working so hard in school to get a horse of my own. Would you know any breeds to start with for a beginner rider? I love Haflingers if you think they would be good
@addiewatson53729 жыл бұрын
+PenguinPlays Any breed can be good for a beginner rider, the thing you have to look at is temperament. For someone with little to no experience go for a calm or 'bombproof' horse. (on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being calm, 10 being crazy go for a 1-3) Also remember that a horse isn't cheap in the long run, vet and farrier aren't cheap and a lot of the time neither is boarding so thing long and hard about it before actually buying one. Hope this helps!

Depending on what you want to do, a quarter horse or paint are always a good choice for beginners of any discipline. For dressage and jumping you can sometimes be okay with an older warm blood or sport horse. For any western you can’t go wrong with a quarter horse. Pony geldings can be okay, but choose wisely. I would recommend staying away from Arabians or saddlebreds.

So, anyone could answer- I'm thinking of buying a horse - what should I look for in buying a horse? - how can I tell if this horse would be right for me? - where could I find horses for sale? - how much should I spend on the horse like what was your limit when you bought one. I NEED HELP.
@cloudy6009 жыл бұрын
1) I would look for a calm demeanor or disposition. When you walk around the horse does he pin his ears. When walking him does he crowd your space. When riding is he extremely spooky at objects or not listening to you at all. ( the last one is extremely subjective to the horse, some horses test there rider and are fine afterwards) 2) You will know if the horse is right for you. Are you excitable then don't look for a lazy horse. Are you a calm person then look for a horse that doesn't have the fire of a gaming horse. 3) Facebook. Seriously if you need tack or in your case a horse look around some of the different groups. 4) This one really depends. You can find the best horse for $500. Are you wanting to rescue? The general well trained horse ranges from $1,000-$2,000. My Arabian was only $500, but he had been sitting for a while, so I had to reteach some things. I hope you find a horse that works for you!!!

+ky reed I agree with cloudy600, just remember that horses aren't cheap in the long run. vet and farrier bills can be very expensive, same with board and feed. Think long and hard about it before actually buying a horse because in the modern economy its not easy to keep one.

+ky reed My horse was $750 and I have to re-train her but I may do a little bit on lunging with saddle for training in the beginning and then the real training.. I will have a video in 2 days!!! With my bestie!! And a good horse price is about $950-$4,500 and there is a facebook page called Horses Priced Right.. They have good horses or if you live near Wyoming IL the have a auction in 4 days On 10/10/15 its 1 day only and its in Wyoming IL and its called Anderson Equine Auction they auction barrel horses reining horses and dressage horses and etc.

A Girl And Her Dragons Good point. Some horses have lush tails, don't rub and have caregiver's who do a fantastic job with tail and general care. On the other hand, I had a mare with twice the mane that she needed and a terribly scrawny tail. Go figure.
