Our Family love to sit and watch you guys and then go and try all the techniques and tricks you demonstrate. Your wonderful and entertaining to watch. Hi guys! I've seen many kind of Shammy grips!! I saw decathlon selling at a very cheap price! But its only 1mm thick.. I saw some other brands sell more expensive but is thicker.. Do u guys have any tips? Is thicker or thinner better? And brands yall would recommend?... Thanks alottt! Love your vids:)

Thicker or thinner that is something for each person different. The best to chick if it is not slippery when it is wet or if it lays better in your hands. Those things are something you need to check for yourself

Firstly, always a fan of your videos, just cus they're fun and can see how anyone new to hockey can pick up some great tips and see how fun our sport is :) Secondly, in English it's Shammy [Sham-me] 😅 you Dutch with your weird way of saying stuff 😜 And thirdly.... I'd advise not to start at the top ever with a chamois or any grip. Why you ask? Because imagine playing, especially in wet conditions....you naturally want your hands to be able to slide down your stick smoothly, and when hitting you want the ridges to be against the force you're exerting so your hands stay firmly on the stick rather than slipping over the top. While in very wet conditions I have seen a few people who's sticks have flown out their hands due to this 😂 (as well as their grip deteriating over time) Starting at the bottom means the overlap is always allowing for a smooth motion when adjusting your hands down the stick whilst creating some tension against your hand so your hand doesn't slip up the stick again. You can use a variety of tapes to go over the top part and even cut wider tapes down to a smaller width for minimal annoyance. I still put a layer of tape down the bottom for extra security. You can use stick tape, eletrical tape, kisethetic tape or even play around with anything else you can think off :) Lastly, for an ultimately comfortable grip I would cut both ends so that the first and last pieces of tape only overlap slightly on the diagonal not over a whole wrap around, otherwise you can get this chunkier ends to the grip, which, for me, feels too chunky, but each to their own.... And lastly.....is Charlotte single 😉😅 x

missing step 1.Wet your grip first so that it doesn't come loose and move around when it gets used a lot or in the rain other then great video

@@HockeyheroesTV I always soak my chammy grip before fitting. The fabric grips the stick handle better, the chammy stretches a little more when wet and as the grip dries it shrinks and tightens. When dry add tape to secure.

Well a tip what we normally do is when the grip is getting old, you flip it over and use the other side. It looks like a brand new grip again.

Does it matter if you start at the bottom or at the top? Most tutorials say you should start at the bottom...

If you start at the bottom then the end flop will be at a point where your hand is all the time. Better to have that on the bottom where your hand is less of the time.
