Got back surgery as a teenager and it hurt so much while recovering, it felt so nice wearing the body braid as EDS was also hurting my body (apart from what the surgery was fixing). But then it can get so difficult to make it support my joints and i was burnt out, so i love going back to the tutorials and your videos to get the support back :) ❤

I've just ordered mine, I've only been able to afford the core braid but I'm still excited for it to arrive, I'm saving your video for referance for once it arrives specifically for how you wrapped the core for walking around

I've had mine for a few years, past the learning curve, and have tried all sorts of ways to wrap. but this is the video I keep coming back to refer to. thank you so much seriously

I've had mine for a few years, ai tried following tutorialsand it just was soooo loose on me..... THANK YOU. While this wasn't the placement I was looking for, I'm so glad I watched it because somehow the way you explained the set up showed me I've had the extensions on wronf this entire time 🤦🏻♀️

You just helped me SO MUCH ❤. Thank you for making this. I bought mine a while ago and got so frustrated I put it aside. Today, my HeEds body was begging me to try again. Thank you thank you!

I'm glad I was able to help! Also, I encourage you to explore our FaceBook Group, Body Braid Banter. It is a very active and supportive community and there are several videos in the guides section that offer many different ways to wear the braid. facebook.com/groups/850514226287272

@mommingwitheds8506 I don't use Facebook or Instagram anymore. KZbin is all I use. But thank you so much. I'm on X though. Thank you for your service and prayers for what you have to endure ❤️

I got this to wear to work, and I thought I figured it out but it didn't support me well and it slipped to a weird, painful place on my knee. This was so helpful and now it is working! Thank you!!

That's great! I'm also planning a few more videos from breaking down the basics again to more adaptations for extra support in different areas.

Thanks really appreciated the more in depth look, the videos on the website go a little too quick for me. I was disappointed the first time I tried to wear mine but I think I’m starting to figure it out! Cheers!

this is the best it's felt! when i initially got it they weren't showing the stomach part so everything kept just riding down my body lol

I'm so glad to hear that! I also recently did another one of these for the website's "video library", and will be making individual videos for different adaptations soon as well.

Thank you! I am so glad that it helped. I definitely watched the company's videos several times to initially get the hang of it. Plus I found a few on Tiktok from some fellow spoonies that helped as well. I love this system so far, it has increased my stamina and ability to move and be active for longer without a much pain.

This is sooo helpful, I haven’t been able to figure out wearing it at all and even having it on sitting for some reason is making me burst into tears, and I don’t cry easily, it feels unbelievable to have support! Thank you a million :) I’m wondering if you might be able to direct me to another video of yours or do a demo wearing light colored leggings? My eyesight sucks and it’s still so helpful to listen to but the lower body black leggings on black band got me a little lost. Thank you so much!!!!! (Also where did you get that top it’s adorable!)

I am so glad that I was able to help! I do have a number of videos for many different ways to wear the Body Braid, most of them in the lighter colored clothing. Check out my playlist "BodyBraid" . We would also be happy to schedule a zoom with you. This is a free service that we offer in order to make sure you get the best support possible for your needs. Here is the link to the schedule. calendly.com/bodybraideducator/60min

Thanks for sharing this, I was so confused how it all worked! Do you have the extra support or light version?
@mommingwitheds85064 ай бұрын
I actually have both, so you'll see newer videos of both versions. In this video, it is the extra support version

Just got mine in the mail today, thank you so much for these videos. Extremely helpful. You got me over my day long fear of trying to add in the extensions! Also, I am am a recently separated veteran due to EDS, I actually would really like to know of your experience as a veteran with EDS.
@mommingwitheds8506 Жыл бұрын
I'm so glad this helped! Looking back, I can see all the markers and symptoms and do feel like it was my EDS that led to my medical retirement. But I didn't even know it existed at the time. I only heard of it from a social security doctor that recommended I get my Drs assess me for it. I got diagnosed 6 years after leaving the Navy. It was actually other KZbin EDSers that helped me understand and get the vocabulary I needed to explain my symptoms and get better treatment.
@mommingwitheds8506 Жыл бұрын
At the VA in my hometown, no one knew about or understood EDS. I had to take printouts from the Ehlers-danlos Society's website to help them with the diagnosis process
@mommingwitheds8506 Жыл бұрын
At my current VA, nearly everyone is familiar with or has heard of EDS. My VA chiropractor even has EDS herself! The PM&R clinic is also really familiar with the Body Braid, and love it. Unfortunately, since the VA is a government facility, and Body Braid is a foreign company(Canadian), they can't partner with or officially recommend or offer it to veterans...
@mommingwitheds8506 Жыл бұрын
What has your experiment experience been like? You're the first veterans I've met with EDS or with the Body Braid
@GhastlyKupo Жыл бұрын
@@mommingwitheds8506 It has been incredible so far, my most severe and common symptom is migraines. I suspect it is from intracranial instability so for a while I've really been trying to be mindful of how I carry myself but you know how that is. You try to do that, then something else is hurting and you try to deflect and then you're hurting from the first thing you tried to avoid. I get a lot of pain in my wrists and ankles otherwise, that's kinda my persistent all the time pain so it's really seemed already like it'll be a great help for all the above. I got the reinforced system with extensions and arm braid as well. Will tell about my veteran experience in new comment

I have a genuine question. I’ve been interested in purchasing one of these. Is it complicated to remove when you need to use the restroom? It’s genuinely been one reason I’ve hesitated. I have bad stomach problems and I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to remove it quickly enough. Thank you for sharing this video.
@mommingwitheds85063 ай бұрын
@@Jenn79579 it is actually generally rather easy to use the restroom without having to actually remove it. I believe I have a video on my Body Braid Playlist that goes over it, as it can be hard to picture with just words. I post it if it isn't already up

@mommingwitheds8506Ай бұрын
Yes! Machine wash in a mesh bag with NO FABRIC SOFTENER. Think similar to undergarments, swimsuits, stretchy athletic clothing, etc. Air dry. The most time consuming part of maintaining the Braid is keeping the velcro clean.
