I’m a little confused, how do I as a parent get alerts on my phone if only I download the app on their phone and not mine? Or do I download the app on both phones? We have iPhones.

Yes, both parent & child will download an app on their phone! The app on the child's phone will give us access to monitor; the app on the parent's phone will have the dashboard where you can view alerts, set screen time schedules, check their location, and more! info.bark.us/how

Hello. Can you monitor social media using iPhones?

Hi there! The iPhone itself does not have monitoring and alerting options. BARK DOES! We offer web filtering, location alerts, and content monitoring for iOS devices! info.bark.us/ios-families 💙

Hello, ive been using the bark app with my children's devices for a few months. I am an android user and my oldest has an iPhone. I'm struggling to keep the connection active. I'll connect the device to my laptop and the alerts start to flood in. From that point, I receive alerts from messages and location updates remotely. After about 1 day the connection is no longer active and I'm prompted to connect the device to my laptop again in order to review alerts. This is very frustrating and makes me question my decision to purchase a subscription. I truly don't want to have to manually reconnect her phone every day. To me, that sort of defeats the purpose of having the app if it's not going to work while she's away from home. Is there a solution to this problem or will i have to connect the device on a daily basis to stay up to date?

Hi there! Apple doesn’t let outside apps access the data on your child’s device. Fortunately, Bark can monitor it when you connect it to the Bark Desktop App or Bark Home. You’ll need to plug your kid’s device into your home computer or Bark Home to set it up. Once it’s connected, Bark will scan your child’s device automatically over Wi-Fi. When your child leaves home with their iOS device, there's no analysis taking place at this point. Please reach out to our support team at help@bark.us with your account info-we'd be happy to chat with you about how iOS monitoring works. 💚

@BarkTechnologies that's ridiculous. So the app is essentially worthless. I will be canceling my subscription. Thank you for the info
