What do you do for excessive miniature bubbles in the epoxy at the surface of the printable vinyl? I've torched them, but if using quick cure epoxy, I can't always get all of them. Do you recommend putting some sort of sealer over the vinyl to avoid that?

Hi Alex the instructions for the Cricut printable vinyls say to use transfer tape do you have experience with that brand peeling the color off as well?

Hi, great video. I just have one question that you briefly went over, but I’d like a little more detail. If I am using a plain white tumbler and I prefer that as the background, how do I prep for printable vinyl? So the tumbler would come as-is and I am just wanting to apply a printable vinyl decal before epoxy. You mentioned a prep spray, but I’m uncertain of what kind or if I am to use one in my case. Thank you for any suggestions you are able to give.

Hi, I made a tumbler and applied vinyl but the epoxy didn’t stick to some of it. Once it dried it only dried on some if it. It didn’t take to the vinyl in some spots. Do you know why this would happen.
@DIYAlex2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes if the texture is smooth, the epoxy slides off. You can try sanding the epoxy (NOT the areas where the vinyl isn't covered iwth epoxy), spraying with UV spray and epoxying again to cover the whole thing.

Hello. I'm using printable vinyl and doing exactly as described in your video. The thing is some corners of the vinyl are lifting when applying the epoxy. Can you give me a solution for this issue? Thank you.
@DIYAlex3 жыл бұрын
You may need to put a layer of epoxy over the glitter before applying the printable vinyl so it has an easier time sticking.
@gloriacasanova74493 жыл бұрын

If I had a sublimation ready tumbler that I just added a print and cut decal to, how many coats of epoxy do I need, and how long do i let them spin for?
@DIYAlex3 жыл бұрын
Sublimation is totally different from what I'm showing you in this tutorial. If you're sublimating on a sublimation compatible tumbler, then you don't need to epoxy the tumbler if you don't want to.

Hi! I have a laserjet. I’ve heard it’s not recommended to use printable vinyl for laser printers - is this true? I really wanna create stuff from holographic vinyl that I also wanna print on but I have a laser printer. I was told by a printing company employee that vinyl is heat sensitive and can destroy the laser printer. I would appreciate any tips on this, like if there are any brands recommended to use for laser printer (of the printable vinyl ideally holographic). I can’t seem to find anyone talking about laser printers and printable vinyl because everyone I see is using inkjets. But I’ve been searching on Amazon and stuff and some show products both for inkjet and laser jet so I’m confused😅 Thanks in advance for any feedback and also for a valuable video!🫶

So I have a black yeti tumbler that I want to put a printable Vinyl on do I need to put anything on the tumbler before putting the vinyl on? Or can I just put the printable vinyl on top of black Tumbler

No you can put the printable vinyl directly on the tumbler. Make sure it's sealed with a laminate or something so the vinyl is water proof when hand washed.

Hi I’m doing a tumbler with Printable Vinyl with Cricut brand and this is my first time using epoxy and I was wonder if I need to spray adhesive on it cause I used pictures and how much epoxy should I use
@DIYAlex3 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't need a spray adhesive. The vinyl should stick just fine. The amount of epoxy you use will depend on your cup, but you can start by using the same amount of mL of epoxy as the oz of your cup. For example, a 20oz cup will need about 20mL of epoxy. Why you seal it if it vinyl still
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
It needs to be sealed with epoxy if the printable vinyl is on top of glitter or another epoxy layer. If the tumbler is plain the decal just needs to be sealed so it's water proof.

@jaimecasey15363 жыл бұрын
Sorry if this was already asked, but after applying your print then cut image on your tumbler, do you ever spray an adhesive over it so the epoxy doesn’t make it lift. I am having that issue.
