Hi Brenda! You just add more items to your canvas and it will print out on the same sheet as long as it's small enough to fit.

Loved your video. Genius to reverse image for application. I am struggling with visible edge lines on a plain stainless steel cup. Can you help?
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Have you epoxied over it? That would be the best way to camouflage the edges, but it may not blend in 100%

After you put the decal on. Do you spray the cup with a final coat of the Rust Oleum gloss spray?

No, you spray with clear spray before the decal.

Yes, you need to epoxy the tumbler or it will not stay longer term. No, these are not going to be dishwasher safe even with epoxy on them. Yes, it can be done on glass.

Is waterslide ...just for tumblers? Or can they be used on plastic water bottles, as is...no epoxy. ?? Thanks 😊
@DIYAlex3 жыл бұрын
It must have epoxy to seal over top of it. So it would not work on water bottles.
@darlenevenus43983 жыл бұрын
Do you always have to use epoxy. Even if you are not using it on a cup or glass.

Have you ever experienced any of your transparent water decals changing or discoloring into like a yellow tinge on a white glittery cup or any color cup?
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
I have not, but if you're having that problem I would consider trying a different brand of waterslide so you don't have those issues. My favorite one is linked in the video description if you want to give it a try.

Thank you. Very informative video. I have the same printer as you do and have been thinking about making my own waterslides. I am curious how fast you go through ink with this printer? The cost of ink is crazy😳
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I will be honest, the ink use is moderate. I have used this printer since January 2020 and I have had to change ink cartridges twice so far. It's not the cheapest for ink use!

What is the average size decal for a 30 oz tumbler? Does it matter if it is skinny or curve?
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
I think it just depends on the design! I typically do 3.25"- 3.5" for a 30 oz tumbler.

Is the final coat of epoxy spray or painted on?
@DIYAlex4 жыл бұрын
Neither, epoxy has to be applied by mixing parts A and B and then applied using your hands or a silicone brush.
@leahadams72713 жыл бұрын
I see that you sealed the waterslide 3 times on the side adhering to the tumbler. Why not the outward facing side you will be adding the epoxy to? That confused me a little as you said it was in preparation for the epoxy? Please clarify... I can see that if you didn’t mirror your image and apply it backwards, then the sealed side would indeed be facing outward..
@DIYAlex3 жыл бұрын
There's no ink on the backside, so there's no need to seal it. Plus it has a backing on it until you apply the waterslide. I see how that could be confusing though!
