How to put the chain back on an Echo Power Pruner small pruning chainsaw

Just a quick video of how to do this. I know sometimes you just have to see it done real quick so that's all this is.

Thanks for posting this, you saved me. Rented this model and the chain fell off after about 10 minutes of use. I’m not exactly near the rental place and this saved me a bunch of time.

I guess you figured out you put the chain on backwards and that the two nuts holding the cover in place ALSO capture the bar. In order to adjust the chain tension you want the two nuts (10 mm) to be loose. Then tighten the chain via the tensioning screw, THEN tighten the nuts. Unless there is a lot of debris underneath the cover, you don't have to remove it to reinstall the chain. Just back off of the tensioning screw all the way. Then you'll have plenty of slack for the chain to slip it back over the drive sprocket and onto the bar. Then tighten it back it up until the chain just touches the bottom of the bar. The reason the chain falls off to begin with is because it gets too loose (chain heats up and stretches).
