We take a look at what comes in the Cs41 Cinestill color development kit and put it all together to get ready to develop some color film.

Good video man. I haven't tried to develop my own film yet, but I am going to start doing it this fall for sure. I'll probably come back and re-watch this before I do it.

really happy to hear that it helped you out! let me know if you have any questions. it's a lot of fun to do and i'll have some more videos of me actually developing the film itself and what that looks like :)

Love the intro Hamilton! I just stumbled on to your channel and like yourself... I love analog photography over photographing with my digital camera that generally speaking use for paid shoots for the majority of my pro work. I have been wanting to try out the CineStill Cs41 for myself but I have access to a film lab that I can just do it when I'm not in a hurry to do it myself at home! Haha! Great video and look forward to updating you on my journey to developing from home! Subscribed!

Thank you so much for the kind comment! There's nothing quite like developing your own film in the comfort of your own home. I'll definitely be giving your channel a watch as well :)

I accidentally mixed my blix A,C,B. No idea if it makes a difference. My negs are very dark. Evenly from edge to edge, so I'm pretty sure it's something I'm doing in development. It might be overdevelopment. But since Covid delayed my photography, I'm also worried the sealed concentrated chemicals may have deteriorated. CS41 is still pretty new, so I'm not sure what it's shelf life is.

Having slept o the problem, I sectioned one of my films and ran some tests. Turns out the chemistry was probably fine. I'm just not fast enough with the chemical pouring/ changing. I wound up working at room temp for a slower dev time and results were much better. I'm getting an aquarium heater so I can work at about 34 degrees. The dev times are more manageable and a little more forgiving.
