We still consider ourselves beginners to the world of stand up paddle board. In this channel we will share with you our experiences as we learn all about paddle boarding, where to go, plus all the tips and tricks...and the mistakes we learn along the way!
In this ‘Tips for Beginners’ series, we are sharing some of the things we have picked up so far. We are always learning, so please use the comments section below to share with us some of your tips and tricks! Also, please don’t hesitate to request a topic for us to cover.
Note in this video we are using a very simple two strap tie-down. The curve of the smaller board does present some challenges with the tie down but the end result is secure and well road-tested by us as we move around Victoria exploring different stand up paddle locations.
You will find all our location reviews under the 'Exploring Locations' playlist:
• We SUP Lake Nagambie! ...
And please don't forget to subscribe to keep up with our latest adventures!

Good job, just one suggestion…fins can be pointed toward the front. This way if the straps loosen, the fins will get hung up in the strap, giving you time to stop and reset. With fins pointing toward the back, there will be nothing to keep board from sliding out completely. Thanks for the great video.

My biggest worry of traveling with iSup in the roof is heat of the sun loosening the glue that holds together parts of the board. I guess that inflating them to a low pressure helps too.

Yes totally understand. We try not to leave them on the roof for more than necessary to get to where we are going. If we are delayed (for a coffee or breakfast!) We either deflate slightly or completely. We also park in the shade :)

This is great but we can't see what the straps look like when you looped them around the roof bars. Thanks
