The boys are back with a special 80-minute season 2 premiere! Let's learn to put ourselves out there together: from using the internet to gain noteriety as a middle scholer to dealing with bullying and humiliation in high school, this episode gets traumatic. The boys talk about body image, their first gay dates, their most embarrassing moments, childhood crushes (Sharkboy), fear of rejection/failure lol, and the full-body experience of an elementary school assembly. Come for the jokes, stay for the 5-step program on how to be your authentic self in situations where it might seem fully impossible!

Good Children make bad adults. Childhood best friends Joe Hegyes and Andrew Muscarella dive into their shared history of anxiety, food courts, wigs, and trying their best to do everything right as adolescent closeted queer kids growing up on the south shore of Long Island. With soundbytes from over two decades of archival footage, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll grow up all over again alongside these Good Children.

If not too traumatic, absolutely the high kick story. Both for the such a genuine reaction. From Joe and the "no, I'm not okay" from Andrew

Two things: Joe eating into the microphone made me violent, and also “begging to be looked at but terrified of being seen” is one of the most heartbreakingly relatable statements I’ve ever heard. anyways very exited for the new season :)

What Joe said at 1:00:00 really resonated with me, thank you! That's my goal for the New Year and I've realized that you just need to put yourself out there to achieve what you want to achieve (i.e. new friends, career, love, etc.). It's so simple but the honest truth! Love you both!

Aw you guys talking about feeling mentally stuck in 17…I think it DOES get a little easier to ignore that voice in your head or maybe to second guess it post 30. I truly understand that feeling so hard. It was hardest mid-20s post college and got better around 29-30. ❤️❤️❤️

I feel like I had a somewhat parallel experience to you guys with my creative intuition being stifled at adolescence. I related to how you felt you had to defend or justify anything seeming gay that you were doing. Things that were creative and expressive, that if they had been encouraged would have helped you grow and thrive and have a stronger sense of self. At least for me. Thanks for sharing ❤
