My Husband submitted the global talent visa EOI in May 2024. He paid around 6000$. He has received an email from DOHA with application ID and transaction reference number stating-We received your Global Talent (subclass 858) visa application on 13 May. Now I am confused if this is EOI or actual visa application as he has paid the amount. Not sure if this will be processed. Any inputs please .

Yes, if you made an EOI for the Global Talent Visa and did not receive an invitation, you can now apply for an EOI for the NIV. The NIV has some more criteria and slightly different focus. As a heads up, compared to the previous Global Talent Visa, the new NIV has more focus on achievements and the Digitech sector has been removed. But some DigiTech may fit into the other sectors, for example Critical technologies sector which includes the specialisations of AI and Cyber Security. Another area for previous digitech is the Financial Services and FinTech sector has specialisations in IT and financial services.
