Good stuff especially the drag & drop to Groove Agent

Thank you! This is very useful, and I really like that you went over all the settings. I initially just wanted to learn to correct sloppy performances, but that Create Markers option could be really useful for labeling chords.

The markers could be a way to easily identify when there is dialog when scoring a film. So instead of constantly having to look to the dialog waveform, you could just create markers en have them visible in every window you are working in (since we got that update with Cubase11)

re hitppoints to markers: i use it so if i have a reference track in the project and i want to have markers for verse and chorus and bridge ect, it will pick them up if i use the intensity slider... then i can create my own tune to the structure of one i like (the reference)

Create Marker Tool: I think it could be very usefull in composition! if you are writing the chords you can easily create the markers for every part of the song and fast calling it "chorus, phrase, intro, etc" for a first and fast "reminder note"

Good stuff! Unfortunately, I find that warping typically introduces artifacts in my 12 Pro when applied to acoustic guitar. I have resorted to spilt, slide, sew, x-fade.

Great video. I'd like to see a video like this done with drum tracks.

Cool - but it should be exactly the same technique

Very useful reference thanks. So is the difference between hit points and warp markers the fact that the warp markers with stretch or shorten the audio output within that small zone whereas hitpoints maintain the audio sound but move the position/timing?
@Borntoproduce2 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil. The first part is correct regarding warp markers. They time stretch the audio, but hit points only indicate the transient. They don't move the audio in any way, they just select the transient point according to the threshold you set (which you can change manually if cubase gets it wrong) so you can apply slices / grooves etc. Hope this makes sense. 👍

When I go to the Hit Points Edit drop down. I can adjust intensity, but I no longer see the hit points like your video shows. They appear again when I go to Audio Warp & select Musical Mode. Any idea why it doesn't look like your video? The easy way of quantizing works great. Thanks

Great video, I've bought a few of your Cubase training courses and they're great! I was wondering, is it possible to quantize audio which hasn't been recorded with a click track? Say we record a full band without a click track, each track being recorded simultaneously to a separate track within Cubase, then want to quantize certain tracks afterwards. Is it possible, or is a click track essential?

How do you quantize a rhythm guitar event with a little swing to it? Warp just screws up some of my quieter up strokes so they're horribly off. I tried using Slices on 1/4 notes instead and that's way more accurate but now there are audible gaps in the performance that also sound bad...
@Borntoproduce Жыл бұрын
Hey, you can do this. When in the hitpoint section, make sure the hit points are 100% accurate, you can manually go in and delete hit points if you really need to. If some of the strokes are too quiet, then you could try compressing the guitar a little first, and then 'render in place', then try doing the hitpoints again. When the hitpoints are set, go to the create menu, and select 'warp markers'. Then go to the 'audiowarp' tab and just change the swing amount to whatever suits. That should do it.
