I’m torn about videos like this. On the one hand, I try to use all natural products and eliminate chemicals from my hair. But on the other hand it seems like products like these (with some questionable ingredients) actually do better for my hair type.
@Ms.NoNo24 жыл бұрын
Chemicals are natural.. what you mean are harsh chemicals... I doubt there are harsh chemicals in AP
@ChaosWalker7243 жыл бұрын
Some of the "questionable" ingredients are perfectly fine and actually moisturizing for the hair! things such as ceatyl alcohol are fatty and nourishing for the hair, not what you would typically think of as an alcohol. I lot of ingredients that are "harsh" are only labeled so by companies creating fear over them to sell their own products.

I finally found someone with my exact hair - this is a first. I follow a few wonderful naturals, but it hits different when you recognize your hair! I feel better trying certain things because we have the same texture. Everything don’t work for every hair type ya know! I consider mine 4B/C and the very back is silker. Kudus

How did your hair feel when you took out the flat twists? For me, the next day my hair usually feels a bit crunchy and dry, but looks moisturized even after moisturizing the night before.

Do you think your hair likes glycerin? I don't know if these products have it, but my hair doesn't like it. I wake up with dry, crunchy, tangled hair. This happens with the Mane choice Tropical Moringa line as well and that's supposed to be maximum moisture. I know this may be a pricey option, but if you're low porosity you should try the Camille Rose Naturals Curl Love milk. It leaves my hair soft and moisturized. The Sweet Ginger Rinse and Morrocan Pear Custard leave the hair very soft and moisturized. And you don't have to use a lot of the product. I'm going to try the twisting butter and Curl Maker. Get it from Target or Sally Beauty so you can return or exchange it. I'm hoping they have good deals for Black Friday. Hope this helps.

Another thing is to see if your hair likes coconut oil, honey, etc. You can watch M.A.D. Curls. They have a lot of product reviews and videos in glycerin and coconut oil free products. The daughter Taylor Anne is low porosity and the mother Lori Anne is high porosity. They helped me a lot. Hope this helps.

My hair does the same thing if I use leave-ins or products with coconut oil. My hair is fine so, hair milks work better for me. And you have to find out what works for you. I suggest doing simple ingredients tests. Meaning taking key ingredients in natural hair products and seeing how it reacts with your hair. Most natural hair products use olive oil, aloe vera, coconut oil, shea butter, etc. So try using each ingredient INDIVIDUALLY (not altogether) and see which responds better. Then you know what products to buy in the store. And I suggest buying products online on target because it's cheaper and you can return after being opened.

@@xtelfolaj Thank you! I know my hair doesn't like olive oil because after i use it my hair feels dry and crunchy. I've never tried coconut oil, so I will have to see about that one. I've recently tried aloe vera and shea butter and even though my hair still gets dry, it's not as bad as it usually is. Which is a big improvement since I naturally have high porosity hair. Any other types of ingredients you suggest I try?
@SHAUNNA1115 жыл бұрын
@@nicholehamilton5844 Thank you for all that information! I don't know if it's because I live in california or because of my hair porosity, but I don't think my hair likes glycerin it dries my hair out even more. I will definitely look into that channel. I have naturally high porosity hair and there are not that many youtubers with it.

@erikahill86475 жыл бұрын
When dealing with low porosity hair, it's not so much the product itself but how the product will get in. This is a great product for moisturized and soft hair.
