Thank you, very timely video for me. I’m dealing with a double ear infection and avoiding the water, but need to get in shape. This will let me do that without submerging my head yet. Great information, thank you!

Hey Ted! Yes, I use this exercise myself when I need to keep my ears out of the water

Thanks for such great content.. I was following all your videos and trained at home without swimming pool before I visited a coach in sharm el sheikh to get certified for AIDA level 2 and 3 within a week time despite the fact it was my first time freediving more than 5 meters . The good part is that I didn't suffer in equalization because of excessive trainings in advance through your channel, and didn't get any early turn with increasing depth day after day till I reached 30 meters and stopped at that level so I get used to depth and dive at residu volume. My next visit will be Thailand and i will try to visit your island. Thanks alot Thanks alot.

Just bought new fins. It's going to be the first time I'm going to swim with long freedive fins so I'm curious about how it's going to go. I don't think I will go to a pool but I have a pretty big lake near my home so I can be training there. Just waiting for the fins to arrive and then I will have like 2 weeks until I will be flying to Egypt. Being more comfortable with fins and having muscles strong enough so kicking with fins won't be hard will definitely help me to save some oxygen and stay under the water for a longer time so I can see the reef. Thanks for these tips on how to improve kicking technique. It's going to help a lot:)

I have just returned from Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh), it was my first time for free diving. I am a very good swimmer but decided to go for this adventure. Looked for a good reasonable price coach there and found one Switzerland coach called Loic Kusho from Deep Zen Freediving. I could be able to get certified for AIDA 2 and AIDA 3 within a week time. Then we visited Ras Muhammed for fun diving and captured a nice shots. I recommend you go through the same experience as long as you are going Egypt.

@@KAIZENFREEDIVING Damn man. Today it was first time trying out the new fins and I gotta say I've got a lot work to do. I can do like 3 kicks with straight legs until I get tired. I have 10 days to work out until we fly to Egypt so it's not too much. I'm 3 days after a tooth extraction so I can't overwork myself too much yet and I have to do the workout where I have my head above the water but I'll do my best to get the technique at least a bit better. I also recovered from covid just a few days ago so it's not so easy. But I think those 10 days will be enough to get my kicking technique at least a tiny bit better. Obviously it's not going to be perfect and nowhere near it in just 10 days but I will at least build up some muscles that will make it easier. Right now I can't imagine like snorkeling and diving for 2 hours straight but the speed difference between short fins and long fins is unbelievable. Even when I'm kicking really slow I'm going so fast it's amazing.

Hi can you recommend any wetsuit for the pool only ( Orca Breath did not work for us, size and zipper) If you look at Aida at Burgas, it seems nobody had a suit with a hood.

I currently use the wetsuit by Best Dive, it's a nice one.

Apart from the poor effectiveness of bent legs, even worse is the HUGE amount of drag you create with such bent legs as seen at 0:19 Most here will know the relationship between drag and energy required to overcome that drag. In this case that 'energy' is O2, which means less distance for a given capacity for breathold and swimming performance.
@KAIZENFREEDIVING2 жыл бұрын
Agree with you about the drag! Just want to add the often "bent legs" is not a problem it is a result of not pointing feet throughout the whole kicking motion
