It's heartbreaking to see Hamza's channel demonetized, he's a beacon of hope for young men fighting addiction. Thanks to him, we made positive changes to our life, and it's a shame that a source of inspiration like him is now struggling.

Maybe not “the matrix”, but just some pricks in charge at KZbin and Discord. Women finally have equality, but now, they’re still fighting for more power. I bet some modern, over- feminist women have done this because they’re delusional. I mean, I’m all for men and women being equal, but to unlawfully restrict men from being happy is a horrible thing to do

I believe everyone has/had an addiction that is harmful. But it's amazing to see how many men here are supporting each other and willing to self improve. I've been putting off making videos showing my face, but just recently decided to say "F##k that", so I ordered a camera, equipment, etc and just started what I've been putting off for such a long time. Procrastination is the downfall of every man, so whatever you had in mind, start today.

I couldn't agree more. For me it has always been one addiction or the other. If I get over one vice, pron, for example, I would waste time on social media or KZbin. If I got that under control, I would go back to video games. It all comes down to your mental health, and these addictions are a symptom of poor mental health. Thank you, Hamza.

Hi Hamza! I’m in the 7th Grade at a private school so my class is really small with about 10 people in it. Because of you, I have seen so much imrpovement in myself. I started going to the gym everyday and I fixed my hair and actually took showers. I have a girlfriend now and I look a lot more aesthetic than I used to when I first started to have a crush on my current gf. She definitely wasn’t into me at that time, but now she is and we have a health relationship now. There is a guy in my class that just recently did drugs yesterday. We went to urban air for our end of the year party and someone in the grade above me sold this guy some gummies laced with cocaine, and he took them. The worst thing is that he knew it was cocaine. Him and the guy who sold it got into trouble and most likely will get arrested for possession of drugs. He’s addicted to drugs, he vapes and smokes lots of things and this video can help me to help him out to stop. Thank you

This advice is pretty true. I’ve left my Xbox at my dads house for close to a year, and have stayed at my moms just working on myself for the most part. During Christmas time, I normally stay at my dad’s for the duration of break. Bro My brain hadn’t been that fried since I was in high school. I was also smoking hella CBD at the time which made me slightly lazy. That slight laziness added to the enormous laziness I was already experiencing and just hammered the nail in the coffin. I still went to the gym, I still went out here and there, but when I got home all my energy and motivation was sucked out of me, it felt. What he said in the video is something I hadn’t realized was the case with my life. My mental health is pretty phenomenal. I get emotionally disregulated here and there like everyone else, but my baseline is so much higher than the video games, etc. that I can feel bring me down when I engage in them. It’s like the earths gravity being so strong that you’re on the floor unable to get up. Unplug the “gravity” and you’ll be able to. You’ll ache for a bit, but it’s better than being on the floor

This is such a valuable advice. Just what I needed to hear. I always used to Criticize my parents in my mind for keeping me away from Phone as whenever I went out with friends in high school I just used to see all their latest phones and their new Laptops they used to play newly released games on and here I was 16-17 years old without a phone used to play games on computer when they were out getting new games on pen drive or disk at school and hide them in my school bag. Then came university days and I got into Cyber Security so my parents brought me a new phone and a new Fancy Laptop and then came the Jeffrey days were I was just so much into my phone I got 24*7 non stop high speed Wi-Fi access and all I stopped playing working out while study thinking about games and then fell into porn and it all just got me. Got absolutely worst in COVID when everything was closed as i was alone in my room. But soon now I realize how bad it is for me and I am just getting on Self Improvement so happy to find your channel and Imam too. You are a great help. Sorry for This Long boring mess. You are absolutely correct when you say how dangerous it is to play video games, I always played video games for 3 hours 1 year ago and I would have no focus no strength in my arms my legs but could do 30 40 pushups just because I was very short like 4'7 I was skinny like 30 kg. I still had some emotional control like I only did the deed once when I was 11 and I didn't even know what it was for but just that My dance coach would try to make me delete my game make me do pushups exercise but I was angry at that. Now I now how it feels to have strength to have emotional control and you helped me grow out of my younger loser self. I'm 15 and still 30 kg, but trying to change that and now I do calisthenics 5 times a week, hip-hop dance and play no game. Will go to the gym once I'm like 17-18. Thank you very much Hamza

Important recap: Addiction is rooted in poor mental health and instead of focusing on stopping bad habits, it's important to focus on improving our mental well-being. The author states that happy people don't get addicted to things like video games, weed, or porn because their baseline happiness is already high. He suggests that focusing on the symptoms of addiction, like downloading blockers or avoiding certain foods, doesn't work because it doesn't address the underlying issue of poor mental health. The key to overcoming addiction is to improve our mental health so that our baseline happiness is higher than the temporary high we get from our vices. Thus, it's important to change the way we think and focus on the internal rather than external solutions for addiction.

Addiction is so strong when it comes to teenagers especially people around mine age. Keep in mind I’m 14 and only understand some of how the world works. I would say some very important things would be that “you have to control your emotions and your addictions”. The people you hang out with and socialize with are gonna be the people you reflect off most. Surround yourself with people that you know will lead you to success and a better understanding of the world.

I did play video games in school a lot, but the thing was I still was doing well in maths and physics and participating in olympiads and acing exams. And my friends were gamers too, it was not like everyone around was getting girls and partying, we were all kind of nerds and looked down on those who were doing degenerate stuff. Then I passed final exams and got into the best physics uni, while not really trying hard. And I still had the same attitude of "maximising chill and pleasure". But the thing is the uni and life in general is harder than school. And with this attitude you eventually hit an obstacle, that you cannot overcome with low effort. And you either try harder or delude yourself that you are smart and great and fail. Again and again.

Can't agree more Hamza. I recently shared about my take on addiction in one of my videos, particularly on masturbation and how it is a symptom of something more profound. This realisation came when I actually stop feeling the need to fap when I started my side hustle. The point that was brought up about pain and pleasure was very true, many people are there are trying to avoid pain by filling it up with pleasure and that's just a never-ending vicious cycle

It really works for me to add in good habits before removing the bad. I don't even crave porn when I'm getting sunlight, meditation, good food and exercise. Videogames become something to play with my friends for a couple hours once or twice a week, as if I was going to a restaurant with them. You wouldn't sit at a restaurant all day. Edit: Also, while I would not advocate anyone take illegal substances, I myself have experimented with classical psychedelics to great success. When combined with good habits and behaviors, meditation feels like a gentle push in the right direction, while psilocybin feels like a fatherly shove. It's like all the rational thoughts you have become actual immediate feelings. People come away repeating clichés like "Love is everything" because they actually experienced firsthand that thought we all know and often don't appreciate. But again, don't do anything that'll ruin your life because of the law, or your family history of schizophrenia. And if you're under 18 your brain is far too pliable and probably shouldn't be exposed to these compounds. Hell, under 25 even, although there's a steady "hardening" that by now at 23 I'm not so worried. I think under the age of 30, therapeutic use of psychedelics should be limited to people with serious mental problems, which for me was on and off depression for nearly a decade. If you're just suffering from poor mental health due to poor lifestyle, maybe save them for your midlife crisis.

Hamza I just feel like I need to say how much you’ve helped me and are helping me in my life. I’m 13 and I had an addiction to fapping since I was eleven and an addiction to porn since I was 9-10. About a year ago I stumbled across your videos and I was listening but not really absorbing and applying what you’ve been saying but more recently I’ve been adopted the persona of someone who has discipline, of Someone who isn’t lazy of someone who doesn’t play video games every day for 2 hours non stop. If I hadn’t found your channel I know I would be another overweight little boy that’s insecure but I know that I’ve made so much progress due to you. Thank you Hamza.

hamza can you put this in spanish...i want to tell my father about this as his addiction was alcohol. I tell him " Dad meditate just for 5-10 minutes, it will end any bad habits +will transform his life". I was addicted to weed, nicotine and junk food but later fell into 0 and needed to make drastic change. i found out about your channel and began really meditating and changed me for the better in just the first month. I even smoked weed to enchance my meditation but later realized i can just not use it at all. For about 5 months ive been trying to quit weed but in 1 month with meditation i stopped completetly and now im clean. I want to share this with my father and many of the families in the hispanic community.

My dad is also addicted to alcohol. But for some its too late. The delusion clouds their judgment and they actualy believe their excuses a 1000%. My dad had a stroke and i tell him that alcohol has played a part in this and he says no it doesnt because friends of mine who never drink but they also had a stroke. This logic is invalid obviosly but to an addict for over 40 years its not invalid , you cant convince them they are wrong because it would mean they have to quit the substance but the roots are way too deep. Thats why i stopped all bad addictions because one day its going to be too late for me. I am never going to give up on trying to help my dad stop this. I made him quit vodka and now he is just drinking beer and when i try to tell him that even beer is bad for you he says no i had a friend who is a doctor and he told me beer is a diuretic and helps with kindey problems and i showed him so many studies proving that wrong but hes brain just wont register it and it still believes the lie. Its crazy how an addiction can cloud someones consiousnes so much. Its hard bro and i dont know if you will be able convince your dad to meditate if he spend hes whole life believing meditation is for weirdos. Best of luck anyway

All hamza said was so so so true..in January 2023, I had my cousin living in my home for that one month. I played with him, he is just 2.5 y/o..his laughter and bonafide happiness made my month. I relapsed on NoFap about 3-4 time in the whole month. Whereas now, I can only get to day 4 or 3. Inshallah I'll progressively overload it. Pray for me and others who suffer from addictions.

This is sooooo true. I've gone through video games, various substances, extreme parties and sex, porn, binge eating. My mental health has been so bad at times that I'd just sit and pull my own hair off for hours, just to feel the stimulation. And there have been periods that I was considerably better in my mind, do you know what happened in those times? I reduced my addictions dramaticly without even trying or thinking about it. Our brains want to be happy, one way or another. If you can find a way to be at peace with your self, you'll never need another hit of dopamine. You have to find a way. I have to find a way. All of us DESERVE to be thankfull for existing.

It's amazing that I just came to these realization myself about a week ago. I got into university on a full ride scholarship. Never studied in high school, never did homework, I just tried hard in school but by senior year all my thoughts revolved around getting home as soon as possible to play Vidya. I go to college, and now without mom forcing me to go to school I didn't attend classes. I kept failing and feeling shitty for failing and withdrawing more and more into video games. Eventually I dropped out of school after wracking up 10k in debt. Instead of fixing myself, I didn't realize I had a problem. Eventually I dropped out because I realized I couldn't keep wracking up debt. I started smoking weed everyday. Wake up, FAP blaze hop on Vidya sleep. I was working a dead end construction job so that I could barely get by. I ate take out every day. I never cleaned. And eventually I got my self so sick and started having withdrawals from not smoking. For me I turned to God for strength. For you it may be different. Brothers, you are not alone. We've been through the depths of hell. But despite all this, despite all your mistakes, you are still valuable. You are worthy. respect yourself. Love yourself. Live life like Larry. Live life like Adonis. Smile 😁! Look in the mirror and smile at yourself. You are important and valuable. And you get to make yourself into the great man you can be. Don't be afraid to take that first step. Don't be afraid to stumble. Don't be afraid to fall down. Because brother, you are strong! You can always get up! Believe in yourself!
