I’m not Muslim but I find myself watching videos of Mufti Menk. I love the messages that he preaches, they gave me hope in the darkest times of my life. He presents a side of people who are trying to do their best - both by themselves and by others. If more people could follow his teachings, myself included, the world would be a better place. I see most of the time some parents dont treat fairness among their children. They burden the eldest while letting the youngest go astray from the path of Allah. What if the eldest dies and the youngests dont know the basic responsibilities? I think The prophet imposed fair distribution of responsibilities to his children. Which is most of the time in our generation of ummah is not being followed.

Mufti sahib my sister's husband is forcing my sister to give her one child for adoption to his childless brother against her wishes, is that fair in Islam. In order to fulfill his purpose & safeguard his property he threatened my sister of marrying another girl if she is not willing to fulfill his demand & at the same time he has left her at her parental house soon after the birth of a girl chid almost one yr old now. My sister already has two more sons, one is 9yrs & the other 6yrs old.

Well in Islam the property is divided between the daughters and the son . 2parts of the property belongs to the son and 1part to the daughter. For example your parents have 1son and 1daughter so the property will be divided into 3parts of which 2 parts will be given to your brother and 1part to yourself and it is irrespective of the fact that you are married or not. And if any of the child doesn't want the property they surely can donate that or give it to their brother or sister
