I'm level 39 and at about 17 million total exp. I've been playing casually since the game came out in July, 2016 (way more into PVP than anything else). At this pace, it will literally take me another *30 years* to reach level 50 based on exp alone. Well done Niantic, your game has longevity!

200 mons in a day is a lot easier than it sounds, as long as you have pokestops around to replenish your supplies. I did it in 4 or so hours yesterday. Should be exceptionally easy during a C Day

This is a pretty great new addition to the game, especially dropping right as Gen 6 is about to come. Very good point in mentioning that there's no need to rush through any of it. It's meant for us to go above and beyond and will probably take more than a few years (at least for me) to get all the XP and challenge. I'm fine with that, being a casual player. I'm already at Level 40 on my way to 41, but this will definitely give us a fun goal for the future.

Idk if this has been a thing but you now get 1000xp for an excellent throw. This helps so much with leveling up with an incense and a lucky egg and next to some poke stops you can level up like crazy 👍🏼

I'm with you. Everytime I evolve Eevee I always only get a Vaporeon, unless it has been walk 10K and it's day or night. This random evolution of Eevee's is to be a nightmare to get the required 2 other evolutions.

Sucks when you get a high rank Vap/Jolt/Flareon but you may get something useless if the evolution goes wrong. Thankfully they aren't meta relevant but still sucks to lose a good rank roster addition

Yeah, I hate it with PvP IV Eevees. I've had some that were top 10 possible IV combinations for one of the random 3, but then evolved to the wrong one. And, yes, we had the names ONCE, but that trick was learned about in 2016 and barely anyone hasn't already used it. Most of us before people knew it was one-use.

Another way to save stardust on powering up the legendaries is to power up the shadow dogs from giovanni

The cheapest "power up a legendary" is if you catch some level 1 Meltan. Although it is Mythical, the power ups count. From L1 the power ups only cost 200 stardust for the first 4 or 5.

Those level up tasks look very huge and difficult in the first place, but when you dont have the necessary XP yet anyway. Most requirements can be fulfilled easily during the time it takes to grind the XP.

Another cheap option for the power up a legendary 20 times. Open a Meltan box and see if you get a couple level 1's. Meltan's count towards this task.

The kalos region just came out for me, then i thought If you don't know sylveon was found in kalos region. And in the show sylveon evolved when the eevee has a strong bond with serena. So maybe in the next update, we have to make our eevee a best buddy to evolve it to a sylveon.

I mean no offense to anyone who likes the lv 50, but it sucks, its really not worth trying to lv up, the power up doesn't make any difference really for raids, the exchange for xl candy is ridiculous, 1000 for 1 xl for legendaries as proven by reversal, and after hitting lv 50 u get 5 lucky eggs, why do we get lucky eggs after max lv, we should have gotten a second infinite incubator

You say “No need to rush, there is no need to reach 50”, however, for a lot of people, myself included, there is something about being at level cap. For most games, there is an end goal, there is a cap to get to. The level cap is that. Getting 175M XP is a LOT. I played, for what I thought was a LOT, daily, for a year, to get from 20 something to 40. 4-5 months later, I’m still only at 28M XP. Getting another 140M XP is insane.

Walk 25km in a week 8 times!!! Fantastic, that means that I will propably never reach lv 48 since chronic illness has made it so that I can hardly walk at all anymore. If I still manage to get up to 5km in a week then thats like a small miracle, and has a lot to do with gps drifting. Also I applied to get an electric wheelchair recently but was rejected unfortunatley for stupid reasons because you know Sweden... Ugh... I am a bit peeved, not gonna lie!
