Sit up right. Dedicated spot, lighting Put it in a calender, devoted time for reading Read without speaking the words in your head. Stop reading a book if you don't like it. Not read every single word in the book. Read multiple books at once. Complete solidation skills. Use that information at once. Process info and apply it. Stop and apply what you learn on the spot. Write about what you read in your new words. Consolidate by having some link to build at the same time. Implement and engage with what you read. Intentional and impliment them as soon as possible.

SUMMARY • Don't waste time reading hundreds of books instead try to focus on learning by reading meaningful books.(meaningful to u) TECHNICAL READING SKILLS •The more physical actions (senses) involved in your reading the more you learn faster the material. • Pick a dedicated spot that well lit, upright and reserved for reading will help u stay awake and focused. • Schedule your time everyday even for just 20 mins will make reading a habit. •Try pointing your fingers while reading to better focus and enter into the reading flow • Read without speaking the words in head for speed up your learning. EMOTIONAL READING SKILLS •Investing yourself emotionally in reading creates desire and also help u learn material faster. • Read a book which you wants to read, which relates to your problem so that you can emotionally invested yourself in reading. • Just try to take the key ideas from books and skips the rest if you already understand the key of the chapter. •Following and growing your reading curiosity creates fuel for learning more and more meaningful things. •Read multiple books at once so that if you feel bored at once go to the next. CONSOLIDATION READING SKILLS •Applying information immediately after reading helps u consolidate the information otherwise u may forget the stuff. •Reading books according to your problems and then use these ideas trying to solve at the same time helps u consolidate the information.

Being a relatively small channel, Cajun Koi really is a wonderful channel for self-improvement. I wonder how you're so good at focusing on the little details. I for one, am somebody who understands how good a channel is (for me) by paying attention to the bigger as well as smaller things, and your videos are so crisp, I'm forced to watch more and more of your content. I don't usually write comments but I felt I had to do it here. Keep the great work up!

I use saccades. They’re my quantum movements. I will read 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 of a line (depending on font size) with each movement, taking in those words as a quantum of thought, like a preposition. Smooth movement across the page is not natural and you’ll revert back. I believe it’s best to exploit the natural movements.

Summary- Reading done in upright posture is better as it stimulates your brain to know its reading time in contrast to sleeping position which stimulates sleeping. Scheduling is vital to set a time to reading. Use fingers to make your eyes follow as when eye has to follow a marker it reads better and more uniform. Do not read the words in your mind . try reading them aloud to establish relationship of sound and word to read faster when you are reading in your mind. Do not read what you don't like as it will create a detachment to what you are reading. Instead reading purposefully is a better option as it allows you to be interested. Do not read every word to get idea read and move on. Lastly read to feed curiosity and read and apply Write a review of book points in your own words it will help. if you are planning to build something build while reading the book.

I disagree with skipping sections of a book. Even if it is another example of something you just read, or another way of putting it, that doesn’t always mean it’s redundant. For example, when you watch a good movie the second time you notice more about it. Not only because you are different now and therefore experience it in a different way, but also because you already understood the basic plot and can now look for the fine details. It’s a bit like carving a sculpture. In your first work you form the general outline. On the second the basic features. And on the third you work on the fine details. And it is usually those fine details that differentiate and define those sculptures. Ideas and concepts are the same. Or like I have done in this comment, it could be another example that is more understandable to a different audience. even if you feel that you understand something, all that knowledge has passed through the filter of your soul which deforms it. Everyone is bias. And by reading different summaries of the same conclusion by different authors or even the same author in a different chapter or context, you gain back some of the pieces of that conclusion that you lost in the filter of the author and yourself.

I have this idea of explaining what I read to someone else, for example I could read an adventure story and explain it to someone, or teach the knowledge in the book to someone, like telling them what I though was important in the book, or what was significant to me. Sadly I don't have any siblings so it's just me, the only kid in the house who still plays video games and reads books with no intentions. I really wish there was a website where you can read books and explain it to other people, tell them the important parts and they can also tell you about a book they're reading. This way you can learn twice as fast!

Nah I prefer reading out loud, it makes me reflect thoughtfully on the subject and my pronunciations as well. I don't necessarily read things out loud all of the time, just sometimes I do and it's only loud enough just so I could hear it myself, You don't have to read it THAT loud hahaha. Reading with fingers is also distracting to my eyes. For me, Pointing fingers while reading causes unnecessary attention on the fingers. I can't read properly with fingers without having to reread what I just read a few moments ago because my eyes were in constant conflict on whether or not I should follow the movement of my finger or If I should read what my finger was pointing at while moving. Some things just don't work well with others I guess.
