I understood that you recommend reading The Count of Monte Cristo. Have you ever watched the recent French movie with the same name? It is very good and highly recommended by critics. Anyway, keep making your videos, they are really good ! I'm French, and I also want to improve my English. I hope I didn't make too many mistakes. :D

in brief: The video discusses various aspects of reading books in English, especially for those learning the language. - **Introduction**: Karina, an English teacher, emphasizes the importance of reading books in English for language learners. - **Why Read in English**: Reading exercises the brain, improves concentration, increases knowledge, and enhances vocabulary, memory, grammar, and other language skills. Reading aloud also improves speaking skills. - **How to Choose a Book**: The right book should neither be too easy nor too difficult. A good measure is to ensure there are no more than 10 new words per page to avoid constant translation. - **Book Recommendations**: - **Beginners**: "The Little Prince" and "A Dog Called Money" are suitable for children and adults, focusing on themes like friendship, love, loneliness, loss, and attitudes towards money. - **Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate**: "Eat That Frog" offers vocabulary for everyday conversations and tips to stop procrastinating, while "Eat, Pray, Love" describes the author's journey to Italy, India, and Indonesia. - **Continued Recommendations**: - **Upper-Intermediate and Advanced**: "Jane Eyre" discusses a girl's challenging life and love story. "Pride and Prejudice" explores love's impact on perception and behavior. "The Count of Monte Cristo" delves into themes of love, friendship, betrayal, self-development, and faith. - **Additional Tips for Reading in English**: - **Choose Interesting Books**: Only read books that genuinely interest you. - **Consistency**: It’s better to read a little every day than a lot occasionally. - **Handling New Words**: Underline unfamiliar words and try to understand them from context before translating them. Write them down with examples and use repetition at intervals to memorize them. - **Closing**: Karina encourages viewers to subscribe, hit the notification bell, and share their favorite books in the comments. The video also provides links to the recommended books and expresses gratitude for supporting her channel through these links. Karina shares personal experiences and emphasizes the importance of consistency and enjoying the reading process to effectively learn and improve English skills.

I finished reading "The Little Prince" just a few days ago, but in French, I came across with new words, but I could understan pretty much everything, so I'm proud of myself 😎Right now I'm reading "Atomic Habits" in English to practice my pronuntiation in English, I know almost every word in the book, so it's not that difficult, I really like it. Thanks for your recommendations, I saved some of them on my wishlist. You're amazing! ❤

I liked the list of books you chose, and I also appreciated the tips you gave for reading. I'm a native English speaker, and I'm learning Spanish; I can apply your tips to my own learning! 🙂 One thing that I'm trying is rereading a book I read years ago in English that has been translated into Spanish (specifically, The Hunger Games).

Thank you for the tips, lady! I'm reading North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell right now. But I just became very interested in "Eat that Frog", as I really need to stop procrastinating and catch up with my English studies.
