I strongly believe that not every radiologist is equipped to read an MRI adequately. I've been suffering from hip pain since a car accident I had. I recently decided to go to an orthopedic doctor, and the MRI doesn't show anything unless that's what the radiologist states. I wake up and go to sleep with pain. I can't lift my leg up because it causes excruciating pain. I don't understand how nothing is happening with my hip when I sometimes have difficulty putting weight on my leg..

Yes. MRI is not just like a blood test with black and white results. There are many human factors that play a role. Subspecialized radiologist get advanced training in this, but still all rads report it.

Have you had any feedback on the dark signal and presence of cartilage delam? I just dont buy it. Why cant it be vacuum phenomenon? I see it in the knee everyday.

Just had a MRI of my pelvis. I was in a terrible accident when I was 16(roughly 23 years ago. Brooke my pelvis in 3 places. I’ve been suffering from major leg pain and all these years I thought it was from my back because of my back issues I have. But here is my MRI report. There is partial ankylosis of the left sacroiliac joint without marrow edema. Right SI joint appears patent without marrow edema. There are no erosions seen at the sacroiliac joints. Sacrum appears unremarkable. Partially visualized pelvis appears grossly intact. Bilateral hips appear intact with mild hypertrophic change. There is fibrocystic change of the right femoral head neck junction. Question nondisplaced bilateral anterior superior acetabular labral tears (series 6, image 10 left and 6 right. No cartilage abnormalities. There is no joint effusion. Musculature appears unremarkable. Tendons appear intact What’s your thoughts the doctor I’ve been seeing didn’t even see the problems in my hips.
