This is somewhat similar to Cantonese in which the vowel sound is extended and changes the meaning of the word. Thank you for this information.

For any musicians out there, you say words without the small tsu with flow and the words with the small tsu in a staccato way that creates a short pause before the next syllable. That's an easy way to think about it

Hello, i have a little question. At 04:05 there is are the words ざし and ざっし. I heard ざっし as za .. shi, like can yoi pronounce it like that or did I hear it wrong? Should I say za sh shi ? It's written as za s shi but I wanted to ask and to be sure. ありがとう。:3

The smallっ in ざっし makes double consonants sound, so you should pronounce it "zasshi" with 3 beats. Hope this helps!😃
