Wow! I have never heard of these concepts of Treble cleft and notes written above and below. I’m an absolute beginner in Music theory and I’ll be honest I’m struggling right now. Thank you so such a unique explanation

im using this to help me make a computer program for musicians to help with writers block or playing block? or something
@Oddquartet7 жыл бұрын
Good luck with the project! There are plenty of musicians who could use a tool like that.

I was in choir for years, choirs that went to state championship concerts...and yet I can hardly sight read at all. I cannot name a note based on sound alone, and if you told me to sing or play an E note, I could not do it. I could never remember what notes had sharps and which did not, no matter how many times I was told, and I sometimes even forget if an A or a B is higher. I had never known these clefs to be named after notes, I only knew them as treble and bass clefs, and I had never even _seen_ a C clef before now... Despite years of singing and playing instruments and theater class and wanting to make music...I suddenly realize just how little I know about music theory, and how stupid I was to think I was even remotely competent, even as an amateur... Just because you love to make music, and can play an instrument and play songs, does not make you a musician... I just realized today that I am not a musician...not even close.
