I hadn't seen this one yet. Cool effect, I especially love these glow effects... and, unfortunately, unfortunately, it's Halloween in two months. Some cool “scary” pictures can be made with this technique.

Not all of us have a graphic tablet. Can you do it with just keyboard?

Why not just set the original black and white image to multiply and make it the top layer? That way it would look more like it was printed on the paper texture, and you wouldn't have to mess with the layer blend ranges, since black linework would hide the first glow layer anyway.

You are getting away from the step by step, partly, and pushing your products more. Slow down and get back to not feeling like a used car salesman. I enjoy your work, bought your $150 course but is seems like you are really pushing for money. I could be all wrong but that's how it feels to me.

Thanks for your honest feedback and I appreciate you for investing in my course ! In short: I try to give as much value for free without going broke 😂. Now let me clarify: as you might understand I invest a whole lot of time and effort in creating (free and paid) content with the goal to help as many viewers as possible to create fun stuff in Affinity Photo. I could simply record a video and upload the raw footage, but I try to make the learning and watching experience more fun and engaging by spending hours of editing per video. I’m basically experimenting with every video to find out what works best (some like quick vids while others prefer a slower step-by-step approach). Now KZbin data tells me exactly when people click off the video or skip parts. So I’m this case I tried cutting out the “boring” parts (like repetitive tasks), in order to hopefully increase my audience retention so the video might reach more people. And since I try making a living off of KZbin, don’t have any sponsors, and don’t get paid much for the amount of views my vids get, I do like to notify viewers about products I offer on my website. Again, I try to give as much value as I can for free without asking anything in return. And I don’t force anyone to pay for anything :) But if anyone wants to invest in a more in-depth course, workshop, or fun brushes, and thereby support me and the channel, I can keep creating this free content 😊

@@RensvanDaalen Good answer. I didn't mean for it to sound harsh. I know you do a lot to help others. I will always be a follower of yours. You got me started in this wonderful world of PM. Thanks for the response. Stay safe.

@@RensvanDaalen I totally agree with both comments, and it a tough conversation to have (especially online, and how limited emotions and intent can be portrayed. Plus no one wants to read walls of texts). If I may add something, I think this also has to do with your style of teaching. You have a great process, you are super calm, cool and collected. Which makes your videos come across real smooth when doing tutorials. Some of your videos have recently added that jarring transitions for your paid products in the middle of you explaining that comes up quick and with no warning. It breaks your smooth flow and thought process when people are following along.

What can you tell me about 150$ course, is it worth to buy? It's difficult to find any honest opinion about this course... I'm considering to by it.
