It’s so brave of you to show yourself in the emotional moments Kate. It’s something I know a lot of us will deeply relate to - myself included. I’ve learn that the failures of the past aren’t a means of gauging the likelihood that all future attempts will end the same way. Psychologically detaching the past from the present is, I’ve found, a powerful way of aiding motivation and helping success become more likely. Not having achieved what you want and failure are two different things. Keep pushing Kate, keep moving forward. Hope you’re well :)

I live in a city that is still very much mostly asleep at 9 or 10am on a weekend. I love being up and about early on the weekend, feeling like I have the place to myself (and a small number of others). Good luck with the body clock change.

Honestly… I have the same struggle and I was diagnosed with ADHD 9 months ago. I have always struggled with upholding daily routines. Having something to look forward to really helps me. Give yourself something you LOVE to be exited about. Not just the alarms, rules etc.

Getting up early is the BEST. Nobody else is up. It’s quiet. I live in a city to quiet time is important to me. EDIT: Often if I’m bent on being on some app after lights are off and I should be going to sleep, I’ll sometimes listen to a story. Usually a scary story (lately) but since I really *could* go to sleep, it’s not scary or anything cuz I pretty much just fall asleep…

Do you usually poop in the morning after you wake up? Does waking up at 6 am help you poop in the morning?

one thing that puzzles me is women and obbsesion with make up lot women look better without make up but suppose they wear it as a type of armour

It's important to figure out your true rhythm first though. The idea that it's by default "better" to get up very early is inaccurate and honestly ableist. (not you, but others think like this) Also we all have a minimal level of sleep debt, just from living in the modern world. Your body will take as much sleep as it needs when given the opportunity.

Seeing you cry about the lost motivation is so relatable. I think it’s good to be gentle on yourself. From an outside perspective you are doing great, even though you may not feel like it. Changing your sleep schedule is bloody hard and some studies even say not all bodies are meant to be earlybirds 🥲
